You were in an arranged marriage with Chaeryeong for business. Both of your families knew each other well.
Nothing bothered the two of you since both of you were single and definitely not having much time to date some people before.
You were an introvert, growing up you had always been insecure of one of your features which was your small freckles on your face just on your cheeks. You usually cover it up ever since you were little because you thought you didn't look good and wouldn't fit in with others.
Whenever you go shopping, eating out with your family, wherever or whenever, you cover them up. Even when your wife was around
She never really showed you much attention. She was kind of cold, hell even her replies to your messages were cold. You didn't want to ask her why but you guessed that she was just busy with work, she was a CEO after all and she was the only one working between the two of you.
She was a workaholic and she was rarely home to be with you.
One morning, you woke up feeling very sick and Chaeryeong wasn't around. She wasn't beside on you on your guys bed. You let out a sigh and then sat up. As soon as you sat up a maid entered the room like the usual.
"Mrs. Lee" she called. Mrs. Lee, it sounded pretty to you, you like it whenever people call you that even though you and Chaeryeong give affection to each other
"Mrs. Lee already went to work, would you want to have your breakfast here instead?" the maid asked
"No need, I'll be down in a while" You were able to say even though you felt too hot.
"Okay Miss, just call us when you need anything" the maid said and left the door open so that when you call them they could hear you.
You were about to leave the bed but suddenly your stomach felt so bad and you ended up vomiting on the duvet. You felt so horrible at the moment and you began to be dizzy.
"Y-Yubin" you tried to call one of the maids
"Yubin" you called once more and in an instant Yubin and Serin were there right inside the room.
"Mrs. Lee, what's-" they were cut off when they saw the vomit on the bed and you looking a bit too pale.
They immediately went to your side and carefully let you off the bed.
"Let's get you washed first miss" Yubin said as she guided you to the bathroom.
Serin on the other hand started to clean up the bed along with the help of the other maids in the house.
You washed your mouth and brushed your teeth as Yubin helped you to stand up still.
After doing so you went back to your bed which were in new bedsheets and a new duvet.
"We'll bring you something to eat Miss" Yubin said and you just nodded as you laid down.
You felt a big weight on your shoulder and you don't know why.
You were feeling hot but also shivering which confused you because you've never been this sick before.
A little while as you were laying down, you heard a distant yelling outside the bedroom door
"Where is she?! is she okay now?!" it was Chaeryeong, you could hear the panic in her voice
Seconds later the door busts open, kne of the maids must have told her that you were sick since she was still wearing her work clothes. You didn't expect her to show up though.
She looked at you as her eyes widened, that's when you realized you weren't wearing any makeup. You start to feel insecure.
You quickly covered your face with the duvet. You could hear her going closer to you.
"Love..." she said, it was nice hearing her call you that. She slowly pulled down the covers and you blushed.
"I know they're hideous-"
You were cut off when she inches closer to you and kisses your cheeks, where your freckles were.
"You have freckles..." she said softly and you felt so shy.
"You look so beautiful" she complimented you
"T-Thank you" you said shyly and she smiled
"Yubin and Serin told me you got sick, do you feel a lot worse now or better?" she asked you
"I don't know..."
"Have you ate already?" she asked and then caressed your cheeks
"I don't have the appetite. I feel like I'll throw up again if I do" you said and she nodded
It fell silent and later on she was laying down beside you, hugging you and bring you closer to her.
"Don't you have work?" you asked her
"I do have work but I have to take care of you love. You're way more important than my work" she said and kissed your temple
"Also, don't ever hide your freckles again. I love it on you, you look gorgeous my Darling" she said and you smiled at her
"Thank you"
"You're welcome my love, I love you"
"I love you too"
Chaeryeong continued to take care of you until you were all better and after that, you were confident of showing your freckles whenever you go out because whatever may people say, Chaeryeong would still tell you that you look gorgeous every single day.....
