Betas can control their scents, that are just not as strong as alphas and omegas.
There is no discrimination against second genders.
A lot of the characters second genders are not mentioned so don't be too worried about what they are, they aren't really important to the story.
Heat pains can be calmed down by physical touch of someone they are close with.
Heats and ruts tend to bring out the inner omega and inner alpha so they may not always act as the character may normally.
Mating, the act of biting one's scent gland to mark them, DOES NOT require sex. It is also irreversible.
