The next day I woke up to an unholy amount of messages on my phone.
Stars above do these people not sleep? I groaned internally when I glanced at the clock.
5 am.

Very well, no use to dally. I might as well start working on it.

I reviewed the document Hugo sent to the group chat and sketched a few ideas. It was... odd, to say the least, to redesign the people I knew.

I eyed the long list of materials what I would have to design. I haven't realised how much material is needed for an entire game. It was scary.

By the time I had to leave to the flower shop, I was almost finished with the welcome page.

Linda had a beaming smile on her face when she saw me entering the flower shop.
"Ah, it's you. Come on then, Dearie. I'll show you around and you can stat with the arrangements."
She lead me to the back where the buckets with flowers were.

"Right," Linda clasped her hands, "We usually have a few bouquets already pre-made, but lately I haven't really had the chance to do them. I would be glad if you would make them for me. Let your imagination run wild. I think around five would be enough for now."
"You really trust me with this?" I asked.
"Of course, dearie. You seem to have good eye for aesthetics, so I have no doubt in you. If you need anything I'll be in the front." Linda smiled and patted me on my shoulder before she left.

It was actually a very nice job. I ended up making triple the amount of the bouquet, because Linda said they sold like crazy. I only the other hand thought she shoved them to anyone who came for flowers. Not that I minded the work. It was relaxing.

"Are you sure you don't need help with anything else?" I asked for like hundredth time before leaving.
"Oh please," Linda scoffed, "Dearie, you have done more than enough. Besides since your brother is here I can't just tell him to leave now, can I?"
"If you insist." I smiled, "Just let me know alright."
"Go already." Linda quite literally shoved us out of the door.

Just as we were walking towards the station Luke caught up to us.
"Oh, hey guys!" He waved.
"Hi!" I smiled at him and waved.
Eugene on the other hand just grumbled, "...not yet..."
"...okay." Luke visibly deflated. I wondered what that was about.
"Anyway, Addie, we were thinking about meeting in like an hour or so in the park, so if you're free you can join us."
"Uh, yeah sure. I think I'm free, so I'll stop by."
"Perfect," he beamed again, "Eugene you're welcome as well. I mean even if you don't have a part in the process you can just hang out with us."
"Oh...uh, sure." He mumbled.

It was like Eugene got hit by a lightning. He said goodbye and quite literally dragged me to the side alley.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked as soon he let go of my arm.
"There's a man, and I think he has something to do with nightmares and stuff. I met him yesterday. He seems dangerous, I need to find out more." He explained and already started walking out of the alley.

"Woah, hold your horses. What are you doing?" I catched him by his hoodie and pulled him back into the alley.
"Addie, I need to go. I need to find out more!"
"And how on earth are you planning to do that? Walking up to him and ask 'hello, would you mind telling me if you killed somebody, or had been somehow involved with death?' I don't think so!" I hissed.
"I have a plan. Don't worry." Eugene assured me and pulled Hayden's hat out of nowhere.
"I will choose to not ask." I noted.

Eugene put it on his head and crouched down to the ground and started talking to a cat. That was well, unexpected.
After a minute or so, the cat ran off, presumably after the man.
"Come on, we have to go!" Eugene grabbed my sleeve and dragged me out.
