~~~Vanessa's P.O.V.~~~
"No it is not!" Tira protested.
We were at lunch, Me, Brandon, Tira, Mason, and Michael. They were arguing about songs that are extremely and over-the-top sexual. I did not participate--neither did Michael--because I didn't even listen to those types of songs. It didn't really matter because I wasn't listening to them. My mind was too preoccupied.
I hadn't seen Josh in a long time. He has changed but he was still my friend. I sill don't understand his purpose of moving and then breaking up with me over the freaking phone. I wonder what was really wrong though. I cant stay mad for long. I just can't. I knew Josh, and he wouldn't just move because he wanted to break off with me. What if he was kidnapped and was forced to do that? That doesn't even make any sense. Maybe...maybe...maybe he was in trouble or something and didn't want me to get involved. That would explain why he had gotten so vulgar. If that was it, then what was it? Some type of gang or something? I heard once your in a gang, you will always be apart of it. What if they were doing drugs, too? How would he even get into that type of situation? Maybe-.
"Hey! Ness!" Tira pulled me from my thoughts, waving her hand in my face.
"Sorry what?" I asked, giving her my full attention.
"I talked to Kayla. We agreed about going out after school...if you don't have anything planned..." she trailed off, looking between me and Brandon.
"You are so gross," I complained.
"Whatever! So are you free or not?" I looked at Brandon and he shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess," I said, giving her a smile.
"Good 'cause you didn't have a choice."
"Then what's the point asking?"
"Take it more of a...clue."
"A clue for what," I was near laughter. This was unbelievable. She doesn't even make any sense.
"What we're doing today. Now stop asking questions, you're ruining my excitement," she snapped. I just laughed and looked away.
I caught sight of someone. He looked so familiar. He reminds me of...someone. "Hey, did you guys meet that new kid?" I had to ask. I was somehow curious about the boy sitting as far away, across the room, away from me.
"Who?" Michael asked, following my gaze. "Oh, he's not new," was all he said. He turned and looked down. Michael was quit but never this quiet. He seemed upset or something.
"Are you alright, Mike?" I gave him that name after we got in an argument about giving him a nickname. He didn't want one, but I told him I don't care.
"Um...yeah," he got up, from his seat, and walked out of the lunch room.
I looked at Brandon but he looked away. "Brandon? What's wrong with Michael?"
"I don't think we should talk about this now," he informed, giving me a peck on the lips. I immediately felt shocks, running through them. I kissed him back. I kept wanting more. I heard him chuckle, " I don't think we should do this now, either."
"I'm sorry if I can't resist," I said, sarcastically.
"Oh, so you can't resist my completely sexy lips?" He was acting all cocky.
"Ugh, shut up. I can't help if I want affection, I mean," I don't think that sounded any better.
"Well, then. Maybe I can make a few exceptions," he said, in a husky voice, leaning for another kiss. I giggled and pulled away.
