~~~Brandon’s P.O.V~~~
This whole thing was driving me crazy! There were only three different mates that were like mine. It was frustrating because it was back in the 1700s and below. There wasn’t much information.
I slammed the book down on the table and stomped out of the library. The problem was that the library was the only place that has history about werewolves. Other pack houses have it, too, but that’s it. I could search online but then I’d get pure gibberish.
“Vanessa?” I called walking down the stairs. I made her stay with Miranda, while I was in the library.
~Miranda, where’re you guys at? I asked through the mind link.
~Vanessa went to the library to come to you. Maybe she got lost, Miranda answered back.
Damn, why does this place have to be so big?
I turned and jogged back up the stairs. I don’t know why I didn’t smell her come in. I guess I was too preoccupied in my research that I didn’t notice.
Walking into the library, I sniffed the air. I smelled her but she wasn’t close. She was in the back. Damn big ass library! I was so eager to see her. My wolf was sort of on edge. He started to tell me to find her.
What the hell is going on?
~~~ Vanessa’s P.O.V~~~

I was running around the place, bored as hell. Ever since the day before, Brandon had been spending a lot of time in the library. I told Miranda I’d go look for him but I just wanted to run around.

Then something kept telling me that I should go back. I thought it was the fact that I’ve never been in the, so called, ‘Pack House’. I ignored it and continued to run around. I felt like a little kid. This page was huge! It was five stories high and extremely wide. It was like a large hotel but homier looking.

I felt this chill go down my back when I got to the end of the passage. I heard footsteps and got so scared. I turned and ran back to where I came from but then came to an immediate impede.

“What are you doing here?” Was asked in a harsh tone.

“I was looking for Brandon,” I replied in a small voice.

“Well, it is not appropriate for the future Luna to be running around as a child,” he said, in an abrupt tone.

“Yes sir,” I said, walking around him. I yet again came to a stop when I saw that there were three different hallways to choose from. I didn’t remember which one I came from.

“Wait!” The man called me back. I turned slowly walking back to him, keeping my distance.

“Yes sir?” I asked.

“Out of curiosity, do you think you are the best or ready for the responsibilities being given to you?” he asked, looking down at me.

“I will do my best,” was my only response.

“Well I don’t think you should,” he said, disgusted.

“Excuse me?” I asked, stepping back.

“You’re just a puny, vulnerable, weak human. You are not to be mixed with our being. You will just hold us back…” he spat.

“Out of respect, you have no right to be putting me down like that,” I said, more confident.

“Well, that’s not really true, petite fille,” he said the last part in a different language.

“Whatever petite fille means, other than that I speak the truth,” I said.
