~~~Vanessa’s P.O.V‘~~~
I groaned, as I tried to move my body. I cracked my eyes open, only to quickly close them again. The light that shined through the curtains was shining right in my eyes. New approach; I peeked a look threw my eyelashes.
Right next to me is my mate. I smiled to myself. I bet I am one of the luckiest girls in the world.
He pulled me tighter against his body, when I tried to move. I groaned again, as he pulled me on top of him.
He groaned, “Good morning, my sweet and sexy mate,” he grinned; eyes still closed.
I giggled, “Well, good morning to you too.”
He sighed, “I feel like the happiest man in the world, after last night.”
It’s weird how I was just thinking the same thing, a while ago.
He squeezed me tighter into him, making me—yet again—groan.
“What’s wrong?” he finally opened his eyes.
I blush.
“C’mon, tell me,” he encouraged.
“I’m a little…sore…and you’re squeezing my bladder. I need to go use the bathroom,” I whispered, shyly, hiding my face against his chest.
He chuckled, letting me go.
I quickly jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom.
When I finished, I took a couple seconds to take a good look at myself.
I don’t look different; I don’t feel different. Then why do I think I’m different? I shake my head and walked out of the bathroom to walk straight into a hard body.
“Whoa, are you alright?” Brandon asked, holding my waist, holding me steady.
“Yeah. What time is it?” I asked, shaking my head.
“Um…it’s almost eight,” he answered, after looking at his iphone that rested on the nightstand. “Why do you ask?”
“I was wondering if we could go to school today?” I asked, playing with my fingers.
“Stop that!” he scolded, taking my hands in his, and kissing each of my fingers.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered, hanging my head.
“Just…just don’t do it, again. Anyways, you don’t have to ask me, you just have to tell me where you are going,” he told me.
“It’s just that I wanted you to come with me,” I told him, looking him directly in the eyes.
“I don’t know, sometimes I get called in to do some stuff here,” he scratched his head.
“Can’t you just come to school and when they need you, you can just leave,” I insisted.
“Why do you want to go to school, anyways? It’s not like you have to go anymore. Your lifespan has slowed, allowing you to live ten times longer. You have all the time in the world to go to school,” he grinned at me.
Does he think this is funny? I asked myself.
“I might be able to live that long but the people in my life can’t: Zander, mom, dad. I don’t understand why you don’t want to go to school. Going to school will help you with your father’s business when he retires. If you even get his business, you wouldn’t know what you are doing and you need the money to take care of your pack. Going to school is what a responsible person would do,” I said, boldly.
