☆ Chapter 6 ☆

KARTHIK'S POV

I was sitting in my car thinking about how to meet Prisha. Suddenly an idea struck in my mind and I immediately dialed a number.

"Hello Swara, I wanted to have a chat with you" I said.

"With me? How can I help you sir. It will be my privilege." Swara said.

"I heard that you have a housing loan and it would take you years to repay it. Also I heard that your husband is a jerk and you are planning for a divorce. I would like to help you. I will increase your salary, in return you just have to do what I'll say."

After our conversation, I smirked in victory.

NEXT DAY

Today I was in a hurry for office as I had an urgent meeting. I was stuck in the traffic when I got a call from Swara.

"Hello sir. As you said I went to the lawyer. She has agreed to be my lawyer, sir. I am very thankful to you. I don't know how can I repay you."

"Well to repay me, you just have to accept me as the witness there. Nothing else."

"Sure sir, the hearing would be after 2 days. I will send you the information. Thank you again."

With that I cut the call. I am coming for you Prisha.

PRISHA'S POV

Today is a very important day as after a long time, I will be present in the court. I was able to collect evidences from Swara, my client. She told me that she is having her boss as a witness who will provide information there. I was all set when I was interrupted by Nikhil's voice.

"Prisha, all the best for your case." He said.

"Thank you so much Nikhil, have a great day." With that say I exited and sat in my car. I reached the court and placed my belongings.
Shortly Swara came and sat beside me. I encouraged her and gave her an appealing smile.

"Oh my boss came." She said and I turned around.

My breathe got stuck. I was not able to understand that if I was dreaming or the scene in front of me was real. I narrowed my eyes and realized that I am not dreaming. My heart was beating rapidly and I don't know why. He, the man whom I saw a week ago, the man whom I got attracted to, was in front of me. Also, he was a boss? That is the reason I guess he wears such expensive suits.

"Hi Miss Prisha, it's my pleasure helping you." He said.

"Oh hello Mr-"

"Karthik Malhotra." Sounds cool.

His name after yours would sound cool too. Prisha Karthik Malhotra.

What the hell Prisha, no no no.

"Please have a seat."
He sat and I noticed that he has big muscular arms. Woah.

The proceedings started and I called Karthik in the witness box.

"So Mr Karthik, can you tell me about the financial statement you were talking about."

"Yes Mi Lady I mean sorry I meant My Lord. We keep financial records of our employees and we came to know that my employee Swara has took a huge housing loan although her husband is rich enough to buy a house. But now after checking his financial statements as I run a tech company and it becomes easy to find the info, I got to know that this man has barely 5000 rupees in his account. Reason is that his father paid for all expenses till now. Also My Lord, his father wanted him to become financially independent so I hired him in my company but he started misbehaving with my employees and was not at all serious in his work so I had to fire him. This pendrive contains all information." He handed me the pendrive and I gave it to the judge.

After a long time the judge finally came to a conclusion.

"As there is no lawyer to fight against Miss Swara and the proofs clearly indicate that Swara was the one who paid the expenses, so I grant the divorce, and both the parties will not get any alimony." The judge said.

I felt happy seeing Swara as she was freed from a huge burden. She thanked me and then her boss.
I sat outside the court closing my eyes when I heard Karthik's voice.

"Can we have coffee together?"
