AUTHOR'S POV

Flashback
Prisha comes to Nikhil's house and starts packing her belongings. After the confrontation with him in hospital she decided it was better to leave Nikhil forever rather than getting hurt again and again. She can't stand to look at his face.
As she walked towards Nikhil's room to grab her few things she heard Myra's and Nikhil's argument. She froze on her spot.
Prisha listens to their conversation, curious about what's going on.

"What do you mean we are over" Myra's voice echoed in the room, filled with disbelief and anger.
Nikhil sighed deeply, a mix of regret and exhaustion in his tone. "I can't do this anymore, Myra. It's not fair to anyone." "Not fair?" Myra's volume increased, her frustration palpable. "You knew what you were getting into from the start. You can't just walk away now!" Nikhil's frustration boiled over, his own emotions simmering beneath the surface. "Don't talk about fairness, Myra. You never cared about that. You used me to get back at Prisha."
Myra falters for a moment, caught off guard by his accusation. She tries to conceal the guilt in her eyes. "That's not..." Nikhil's gaze hardened as he saw Myra's hesitation. "Don't try to deny it, Myra. I know you knew about Prisha being my wife when it all started." Myra's facade crumbled momentarily, her eyes widening in surprise. She hadn't anticipated Nikhil finding out the truth. "How did you..?" "Aayush told me." Nikhil's voice was taut with simmering anger. "He informed me that you were fully aware of my marriage from the beginning."

Aayush and Myra were once in a relationship. They broke up mutually. They stayed friends for awhile until he went away from the city after his marriage. When Aayush met Myra at a club, he told her that Prisha was going to get married because of his decision of marrying someone his parents didn't approve of. He was drunk. Myra got to know that it was Nikhil Bhatia and she thought it couldn't be less of an adventure for her as she worked for Nikhil and he was her boss. Before he would get married Myra decided to trap him in her innocence and get in a relationship with him, and she was successful in it. She had planned to marry him soon but most importantly, she wanted to see Prisha devasted and heartbroken.

Myra's attempt to deny it crumbled under Nikhil's unwavering stare. She had no way to defend herself. "Yes, I knew." "Nikhil," Myra cooed, her tone softening as she moved closer to him. Her eyes glinted with a mix of vulnerability and seduction. "You can't just walk away from us like this." Nikhil's jaw clenched as Myra closed the distance between them. He knew her tactics all too well. "Don't try to manipulate me, Myra. It won't work this time." Undeterred, Myra pressed on, her voice laced with a touch of desperation. "I'm not trying to manipulate you. I love you, Nikhil. Can't you see that?" Nikhil's gaze hardened as he heard the words he had grown weary of. "You don't know the meaning of love, Myra. You've only ever loved yourself and your greed for revenge." Myra clenched her fists, a flicker of anger passing over her face. "You act like you're so innocent, Nikhil. You weren't exactly a saint when we started this." Nikhil couldn't deny the truth in her words. His own moral compass had been clouded during his weak moments. "Yeah, I wasn't blameless. I made my mistakes." Nikhil's tone grew resolute and detached. "But even if it started as a fling, it was never serious. I never planned to stay in this messed-up situation."

Nikhil's tone shifted as he spoke about Prisha, a hint of genuine admiration in his voice. "Prisha... she's a strong woman, Myra. She's been through hell because of our actions." His tone turned serious as he voiced his question. "Tell me, Myra, why did you go after Prisha? She was your best friend."

Myra's frustration boiled over as Nikhil mentioned Prisha. She couldn't contain her resentment any longer.

"Because she was always the golden girl," Myra hissed, her voice laced with bitterness. "Miss Perfect Prisha! Always getting all the attention while I was overshadowed." Her resentment deepened as she continued. "It didn't matter how hard I tried. Everyone always compared us, always chose her over me. It was infuriating." Myra clenched her fists, her words laced with pent-up anger. "It was like I could never measure up. Prisha had everything-beauty, intelligence, kindness. Everyone loved her." She let out a sigh, her shoulders slumping slightly. "And I just faded into the background time and time again. It was suffocating to live in her shadow." She scowled, her frustration seeping through. "And there was you, Nikhil. You were another person who seemed smitten with her too. Everywhere I looked, it was all about Prisha this, Prisha that." Myra clenched her fists, her words laced with pent-up anger. "It was like I could never measure up. Prisha had everything-beauty, intelligence, kindness. Everyone loved her." Her voice trembled with a mix of hurt and resentment. "So, yes, I went after you. I wanted to have something that was meant to be hers. I wanted to take something away from her perfect life."

Nikhil remained silent for a moment, processing her revelations before speaking softly. "So, it was jealousy and resentment towards Prisha that drove you to this. But it doesn't make it right."
Myra's vulnerability morphed into anger as she recalled another incident from their past.
"There was this guy I had a crush on in college," she seethed. "Guess what? He was obsessed with Prisha too." Her voice trembled with wounded pride. "It was always about Prisha. Even when I thought I had a chance with someone, she would swoop in and steal their attention." Myra's voice wavered with a mix of longing and frustration as she recounted her feelings for that particular guy. "I really liked him, you know?" she confessed, her gaze distant. "He was someone I thought could see me for who I am. But..." Myra's gaze met Nikhil's, her vulnerability seeping through. "That's why I chose you, Nikhil. I saw an opportunity to have something Prisha wanted. To finally feel like I mattered." Myra's expression softened as she confessed her feelings. "But as time went on, it wasn't just about getting back at Prisha anymore. I...I started having real feelings for you, Nikhil."

"Real feelings?" he echoed, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "How can I trust that, Myra? Given everything that's happened between us?" Myra fidgeted nervously, her gaze darting away from Nikhil's intense stare. "I know it sounds hypocritical," she began softly. "But I can't help how I feel. It started out as a means to hurt Prisha, yes, but along the way, something changed."

Prisha stood froze on the other side of the door, her heart heavy with bittersweet emotions as she listened to Myra and Nikhil's conversation.
