Hidden Agenda

Quinn takes his shirt off after walking into his room. He washes up and gets changed, he goes out to visit his friends for a social discussion and have a few drinks, this time he is visiting a family friend's house: Anthony. Anthony and Quinn had known each other for a long time. Quinn orders his carriage and travels to his friend's house; several carriages are lined up outside the house. Quinn disembarks the carriage and walks to the front door.

He is introduced on arrival and enters the house to several Aristocrat families, who are seated and discussing social events. Quinn is welcomed by his old friend Anthony, and then introduced to other guests, he is poured a small glass of whiskey. Quinn is shown to a seat and joins the conversation. Quinn finds these conversations somewhat boring, but they contain information good for his father's business.

After an hour Quinn excuses himself and retires outside for some fresh air. While standing on the porch he sees movement in the garden, Quinn wonders what it is and decides to go to investigate. Walking up the path, from behind the bush, Quinn can see Darius sharing a bottle of whiskey and happily chatting with another male seated in the garden, he is unaware that Darius attended this gathering, he turns without saying a word, but branches he pushes past, makes a noise, which makes Darius and David look up, both seeing Quinn returning to the porch. David Looks at Darius after seeing Quinn return to the porch,

David says, "Oh" "did he want Something? He is gone now.". David Smiling to himself, thinks: Good, I get more time with Darius.

Meanwhile, all kinds of thoughts are now travelling through Quinn's head, as to why Darius would be chatting privately in the garden with this male guest, for an hour or maybe longer. Quinn returns inside and approaches his friend Anthony.

Quinn asks, "If Darius has been here long?"

Anthony states, "Oh yes," "he has been here for hours, chatting to our cousin David Von Shepton," and "they seem to have hit it off." "Do you know Darius well?"

Quinn replies, "No, not at all". He excuses himself stating: "He forgotten some work, he needed to do." Quinn rushes out to his carriage and leaves.

Darius returns inside with David, scanning around the room. When he does not see Quinn, Darius excuses himself from beside David and approaches, Anthony.

Darius asks, "If Quinn is still here."

Anthony replies, "Quinn had to leave urgently and left about 20 minutes ago."

Darius thanks him and returns to his seat. Darius tries to listen to the conversation but has thoughts of Quinn occupying his mind.

Quinn changes the destination of his carriage to Buckingham Lodge. Once Quinn arrives, he enters the lodge, Rahvyn and Champagne are seated enjoying conversations and a whiskey, they motion to Quinn, but he continues to his private room, Rahvyn and Champagne look at each other confused, they both stand and go to knock on the door.

Quinn replies, "Enter,"

As they enter the room, they notice Quinn is upset and throwing things around the room.

Rahvyn asks him, "What the problem is?"

Quinn turns to Rahvyn and snaps, "Do you know David Von Shepton??"

Rahvyn replies "U mm," "Yes," "I have heard Darius speak of him." "Why?"

Quinn replies, "I was at Anthony's tonight, Darius has been with him a few hours alone in the gardens," "I did not even know he was attending." he told me he had work to complete before we could see each other"

Then smugly, states, "Apparently," they hit it off. According to Anthony."

Champagne steps forward placing the books back on his desk.

Champagne replies "Settle down," "it is not like that." "They are discussing business in development."

Quinn turns around and repeats, "Business."

Champagne repeats, "Yes," "I spoke to Darius before he left for the social meeting," "he was hoping to see you there," "but knew he would have to continue his conversation with David first." "I guess you saw them first."

Champagne turned to Rahvyn and pulled a face. Both worried Quinn would take off again as he only returned because of his hope for a relationship with Darius.

Quinn has become rather jealous of anyone with Darius. Quinn sat down mumbling to himself. Sculling whiskey from his glass. Champagne excuses himself from the room and leaves. He leaves Rahvyn to sit with Quinn: trying to chat about social events and maybe a get-together, like old times for fun.

Quinn sitting drinking heavily and Rahvyn trying to calm him.

Rahvyn tells him "It's been boring without the gangs' shenanigans.""When can we get together again?"

Champagne has instructed a horseman to informDarius: where Quinn is now and the state of his mood
