Marquis sitting at his desk, sipping at his glass of whiskey, looking through a book, and occasionally looking out of the window thinking.

Mrs. Margareta De-Glanville walks into the study and asks Marquis.

"What is happening or happened?"

Marquis looks up and asks.

"What my love".

She looks at Marquis and smiles,

"You are here deeply thinking, like this" and "Quinn is not his cheeky self." "Talk to me", "Maybe I can help".

Marquis smiled at her and said,

"This is about the politics of our life."

Margareta said "OK".

Marquis De-Glanville looks up and says,

"Our son may not be able to be with someone he loves, and this pains me".

Margareta smiles at Marquis,

"Do you mean Darius?"

Marquis looks up shocked.

"You know about this,"

Margareta Responds:

"Of course I know, have you not seen him when he is around Darius Mrs. De-Chevalier has also noticed Darius is the same,"

"He comes out of his shyness when Quinn is around. So why the problem?"

Marquis replies:

"Quinn feels that Randolph will not approve of him because of his past lifestyle, so he will not ask".

Margareta laughs and says,

"Silly boy".,

Marquis looks up and asks his wife.

"What are you up to?"

She just laughed and said,

"Leave it to us".

Marquis Looks at her and said,

"But Quinn does not want to push this!" He said, "he is happy to just be his friend and stand by him on council".

Margareta smiles,

"Why should he do that Marquis? if they love each other, they should be allowed to mate."

" I am sure Marilyn De-Chevalier will feel the same".

Marquis looked at her and responded,

"It is not that simple my love, you know Randolph, he can be very stubborn, he is not happy with Quinn for the blood swap even though it may have saved Darius' life".

Margareta Looks at her husband, Smiles, and replies.

"Have you met Marilyn De-Chevalier?" "She is so passionate about her sons,"

She leans across the desk and kisses him on the nose,

"Am off to do woman's work".

She turned and left the study, Marquis called after her, but she did not return. He sat with a smile on his face, shaking his head.

Margareta De-Glanville smiling to herself, walks up the Hall towards Quinn's room, she stops and knocks at his door,

"Quinn, I wish to speak to you."

Quinn opens the door and lets his mother enter the room; she places herself in a chair.

Margareta tells him.

"To sit and talk to me".

Quinn looks at his mother and frowns,

she looks at him and says, in a slightly annoyed voice,

"Come on Quinn you have been in this room sulking," "You're not your cheeky self." "Tell me what is going on".

Quinn replies

"Mother it's OK, I will figure it out, don't worry".

She looks at Quinn and laughs slightly, you can hear the annoyance in her voice,

"So, you are not going to tell me then",

Quinn looks up at her and says,

"I can sort this out myself, Mother please leave it alone."

She replies,

" Quinn, no I am not going to have you give up on someone you are passionate about." Yes", "I have spoken with your father, and he told me of your conversation last night."

Quinn sighs,

"Mother, I know you want to help, but if you do it will only make It worse."

"Randolph may stop me from seeing Darius altogether".

"I do not want to cause trouble for father on the council".

"Please leave it alone".

"Mother, I must leave and go to the De-Chevalier estate, as I have been ordered to do training with Armond".

Quinn stands, kisses his mother on the cheek and leaves.

Margareta leaves Quinn's room after him and goes to her room where she sits to write a letter.
