Unfamiliar Attraction

Welsh Stranger

Quinn arrives home, His mother is waiting for him in the library.

Margareta De-Glanville calls Quinn as he enters the house.

"Could you please come here? I want to speak to you."

Quinn enters the library and sits near his mother.

Margareta asked,

"How training was,"

Quinn replied,

"Good Armond has given me a routine of movements to help me fight and train better."

Margareta replies,

" OK" "You do know your mother's heritage is warrior vampires"," I still have my training, if you could bear your old mother training you" or "I can ask them if needed to help you."

Quinn tells his mother,

"He is happy to train under Armond as it was an order from Lord De Chevalier."

His mother answered,

"OK." "So did you train all night,"

Quinn answered,

"No, I visited with Darius and had supper with him".

Margareta brightened up and asked,

"How he was?"

Quinn told her,

"He is good he can start training next week."

Margareta replied,

"Great" then," asked if there was any trouble tonight with Lord De Chevalier?"

Quinn answered,

"no" "Mrs. De-Chevalier would not take no to supper with Darius", "So I thought I better accept and have supper, plus I got to spend time with Darius".

His mother nodded and said "OK".

Quinn asked his mother "Why?"

She just smiled and said,

"Nothing". "Are you going back tomorrow to train?"

Quinn replied,

"Yes, I have training again tomorrow every day unless something comes up".

Margareta mumbled,

"OK". "Can I ride with you tomorrow to the De Chevaliers' I wish to Speak with Marilyn De Chevalier."

Quinn nods

"Yes" and tells his mother "He will be leaving at dusk is that OK",

she nods,

"Yes, I'll be ready."

"OK" "Mother I am going to freshen up as I am going out for a while".

she nods and smiles at him. Quinn leaves the library and heads to his room; He leaves shortly afterwards to go to the Lodge.

Quinn enters Buckingham Lodge; Quinn acknowledges his friends and walks over to join them in conversation. He orders a Whiskey and slowly sips it whilst chatting to his friends,

A young handsome well-dressed heavy accented male vampire interrupts the conversation, and asks Quinn,

"If he is Quinn De-Glanville,"

Quinn turns and looks at the handsome young man and replies:

"Yes, can I help you?"

The cocky young man smiles and sits close to Quinn, clinking his glass against Quinn's only, Quinn's friends all look up and start to take notice of this young Male, Quinn looks at his friends and smiles, he then looks at the young male and asked him,

"What's your name,"

He tells Quinn,"

"I am Lloyd Buckingham the 3rd,"

Quinn frowns and states,

"Nice to meet you sir, but your name sounds familiar." in a questioning voice:

Lloyd tells Quinn,

"My family is not from here. They are from Wales;" "I am here to visit my aunt. She does not know I am coming. I will surprise her."

Quinn smiles and replies "OK"

but thinks that might not be a good thing with some vampires here lately.

Quinn, Lloyd, and others continue to chat for an hour when Quinn excuses himself stating,

"He must return to his estate as he has business early in the evening then must escort his mother to visit her friends,"

Lloyd also excuses himself saying,

"He will have to find his aunt's estate."

Quinn nods at everyone and leaves.

Lloyd Follows immediately goes outside to ask for his horse.

Quinn mounts his horse, nods at Lloyd, and rides off. Lloyd mounts his horse and asks for directions to his aunt's house. Lloyd seems to ride the same way Quinn just has. Quinn arrives home and greets his parents, both are in the library, chatting and drinking. Quinn sits and pours a small glass of whiskey joining the conversation with his parents.

Suddenly a knock is heard at the door,

Quinn says,

"He will answer it".

Quinn opens the door to Lloyd standing there, he asks annoyed:

"What are doing here, you cannot just follow someone home Lloyd."

As the noise was heard by Quinn's parents, they both stood up and went to the front door,

Lloyd smiles brightly as he sees his Aunty and says,

"Aunty, sorry I did not let you know I was coming".

Quinn's mother rushed past Quinn and hugged Lloyd, Quinn Frowned and looked at his father.

Marquis smiled and told Quinn,

"To meet his cousin from Wales, your mother's brother's son."

Margareta turned to Quinn and said,

"Yes, meet your cousin, Lloyd, Lloyd this is Quinn, our son, your cousin."

Quinn said,

"Yes, we have just met before, he introduced himself to me at Buckingham Lodge to the surprise of many."

Lloyd said,

"Yes, I stopped for a bite and to refresh before coming here".

Marquis said,

"This is good then, Quinn can you take Lloyd with you to the meeting please, he is here to learn from us."

Margareta smiled and then said,

"Maybe you from him Quinn," "Lloyd is a great fighter, he follows his father in skills. He trained as a young boy to adulthood."

Lloyd tells Quinn.

"He would be happy to show him a few things and even do some training sessions with him if he liked."

Quinn nodded "yes" to please his mother as she had already mentioned training from her side of the family. They all went to the library, Margareta chatted happily with Lloyd about family and happenings within the family in Wales. After finishing his drink Quinn said,

"Excuse me, I am ready to retire, lots of prep for meetings".

Margareta told Quinn that,

"She would put Lloyd near his wing so they could talk and get to know each other."

Quinn smiled and replied,

"As you wish Mother.,"

he turned and left the room glancing at Lloyd and his father.
