Ch. 3

--After school--

*Groans*
"Holy crap that was a long first day..."

"Really? I thought it was pretty fast. Anyways you headed to your part time job now?"

"Yup, catch you tomorrow?"

"Mmhm, see you pretty boy!"

"See ya!"

I work at a cafe as a waiter and to be honest, it's been really fun. Its by a stroke of luck that someone was willing to hire a radiant like me but only with the term that I don't let anyone know I am.

Since the cafe was close to multiple tuition centers, our customers were mostly students and young adults.

I open the door to hear a bell chime.

"Pheonix! I thought you wouldn't come."
My boss exclaims.

"Hey Sir, yeah just busy with school. I'll go and clock in now!"

"You go do that."

After changing into the uniform I take my notebook and go to greet the customers.

"Good evening, how can I help you?"

"Hey uhh, could I get a... Iced mocha and a plate of carrot cake?"

"Of course, anything else?"

"Nah."

"Alright your oder will arrive shortly."

"Here you go Sir. Will that be all?"
"Yeah thanks kid."

I look around to see if any tables haven't been served yet. I find a table with a cap poking at the top of the seat.

"Hello, welcome to-"
I look down to see.. Him! That little cockroach!

"What the hell is happening to this cafe..."

"E-excuse me?"

"I'm asking on how the hell they let an idiot like YOU work here?"

"Look bruv, are you trying to start a fight? Cause my shift ends in an hour."

"A fight? The moment you step out that door your face will be on the ground." He scowls in that monotone voice of his.

"Ohh you can just try to lay a hand on me man."

"And you do know that students cant work part time right?" Yoru says with his arms crossed.

"Huh? Since when?"

"Since you entered the school. You could get expelled."

He stands up and grabs his stuff. Putting his hand on my shoulder, he whispers in my ear.

"And I could report you."

"You little!"

And before I know it he's already out the door. I hold my apron in anger, literally with fire coming out my head. I immediately head to the back to cool down.

"Just one more hour..." I whisper to myself.

What is that guy thinking! Reporting me just for working? Erg... I seriously need to find this guy.

I walk around town, in a measly attempt to find Yoru. I stumble upon a shop that specialises in collectable knives. Although I'm not that into that kind of things, they do look pretty cool.

Walking around the sections I see the blue haired guy!
I put my hand on his shoulder and ask.

"What the hell is up with you? Can't you just leave me alone and not report me for something that doesn't even involve you?"

"Oh.. it's you. The fiery hothead. Why, did I anger you pretty boy?"

"Just tell me, what made you hate me so much? It's only the first day of school and it already seems like you hate my guts."

Tension rises since we were quite smushed in the tiny aisle, surrounded by knives definitely fortunately killed any sort of romantical mood.

"Not much, just thought it'd be fun to mess with you. Now go away, you stalker."

"No. Not yet. What did you mean when you said you'll report me huh?"

"Tch you can't even tell that was a joke? You're even more stupid then I thought."

"Look man, I didn't do shit to you so how about you just keep the secret?" I speak in a low voice.

"What's in it for me?"

Holy crap does he ever shut up.

"Umm... I could do your homewor-"

"God no, with you doing my homework I can kiss graduation goodbye. Hmm... What about. You pay for my meal every time I come by the cafe?"

"What..? Hell no! You'll probably buy the most expensive thing on the menu!"

"Alright then I'll just tell Principal Brim."

"Wait wait! Fine.. I'll pay... 20%."

"50"

"30 percent."

"Deal." He says taking out his hand, waiting to shake on it.

**Sigh** I shake his hand.

"I'll be on my way now. You better not tell anyone!"

"Yeah yeah.."
