As Lexie finished her crying session, I couldn't help but feel bad over her situation. So yes, I promised to not ever get with her prince charming; Edward. It felt strange promising to not get with him, but I decided to ignore the strange feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Lexie had left, leaving me alone in the dressing room. I rubbed my forehead, sitting on the bench hunched over. It had been a long day. I left the dressing room, clicking the button to the elevator doors. My coat embraced me, filling me with a sense of warmth I've needed all day.
The elevator doors opened, revealing Dr. Harrington standing inside. He looked handsome. He's perfect for Lexie, I reminded myself. Smiling at me, he moved aside to make space for me. I walked in, hands tugging at my bag.
"Just can't seem to get rid of you, can I?" He joked, nudging me with his arm. I could feel his eyes on me, but I kept my gaze on the elevator doors.
"No." I said, a small smile painting my lips. Unlike our first encounter in the elevator, the silence that filled the room was uncomfortable. I couldn't tell if it had been because of our... moment before, or the fact that I'd decided to keep my distance. Either way, neither of us enjoyed it.
"Are you... are you alright?" He asked me, taking a step into my view. I looked him in the eyes. A concerned look on his face. I sighed.
"I'm just- I'm fine. It's been a long day, that's all." I replied, my hands sweaty. He looked at me carefully as the elevator doors opened. I walked past him to leave but he followed me, grabbing my arm.
"Chelsea?""Goodbye, Dr.Harrington.

The weekend was well spent overanalyzing my interaction with Edward as well as my rent. How cold did I have to be to please Lexie? How could living in in New York cost so much?
"I don't know how to pay rent, being an intern isn't necessarily a well paid job." I said to Lexie and Anja as they sat in my room. Anja took a sip of her tea, sitting further into the sofa. She jumped as a thought came to her.
"Why don't you move in with me?" She asked, a smile on her face."That's... that's actually really smart. Don't you live more central anyway?" Lexie added, gripping her cup of coffee.
"I'll think about it."
"Well you're going to say yes, I'll start clearing up space for you." Anja said, sheepishly smiling."Besides if you ever decide to take home someone from the hospital, it's going to be a hell of a lot closer..." She added, winking my way. Lexie laughed.
"No! I've banned my self from interfering any sexual or romantic relationship with hospital staff. I can't say the same for you guys."
"Listen, sometimes it's alright to let lose." Anja said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Right Lexie?" Anja added, nudging her, earning her a giggle.
"I mean I wouldn't mind bringing home a certain british neurosurgeon home." Lexie stated, grinning. Anja and I laughed, but I couldn't help but feel a strange feeling at the thought of Lexie bringing Edward home. I hated myself for it, because hanging out with the girls had officially made us friends.
"Are you going to finish this?" Lexie asked, picking up my book. The book Edward recommended.
"No... I don't think I will." I replied.

Dr. Reid came to our group of interns with folders in hand. She handed them out as she spoke.
"Barton you're at OBYGYN, Evans at trauma, Lee and Griffiths at Cardio and Lawson at neuro." She announced. Oh shoot. I looked at Lexie out of the corner of my eye, and I could see the disappointment on her face. I nudged her, gaining her attention.
