One of Them (Jurassic World fanfiction)

A little girl with brown hair ran between the skeletons of dinosaurs towards a tablet with numbers. She tapped 7337* and it revealed elevator, just like she saw before. She stepped in and pressed the button with lowest number: -3.

Once the elevator door opened, she looked around with both confusion and curiousity. She made her way into blue room that looks like a lab, and her eyes widen in awe at all the things inside. She's never seen anything from here before. She know very well she shouldn't be here, but her curiousness got better of her.

Maisie's eyes landed on a computer with paused video. She took a seat in front of the screen and unpaused the video, watching a man with small raptor. She smiled when another little raptor, Blue, followed the man's actions, tilting her head to sides exactly like him. 

Another computer stood beside it with different video, one with woman and different kind of dinosaur. Wanting to see what is this one about, Maisie unpaused this one as well and watched.

"Ugh. I hate making these kind of videos but whatever. Wu's getting annoying with this." A woman with light brown hair grumbled, holding in her hand a piece of meat while adjusting the camera. 

"Today I'm gonna see how long can Inza last listening to me. Let's hope we make process. The last time she...." The woman paused, then smiled like it's nothing bad. "almost bit my fingers off." 

A little bigger dinosaur than Blue approached the woman, this one being unable for Maisie to recognize what specie is. She's never seen one looking like this, crimson red eyes and white skin with long claws. The little dino, which Maisie guess is named Inza by what the woman called it, watched with big eyes the piece of meat in the woman's hand.

"Alright, sweetheart, follow my finger." But Inza ignored the woman's moving finger, still keeping her hungry eyes on the bloody food. The woman snapped her fingers twice to get Inza's attention. "Inza, hey. Eyes here." 

Maisie gasped along with the woman in screen when the little dinosaur jumped at her, throwing her on her back. Inza grabbed the meat from the distracted woman's hand and chewed on it, still standing on the stunned woman. She sighed in defeat, lying flat on her back.

"You are one hell of stubborn hybrid, Inza. It will take us some time to work out." The woman still managed to smile like a loving mother when the hybrid curled by her side and laid her head on the woman's stomach, purring with satisfaction. The woman laid her head back with groan, running her hand down Inza's back. Maisie smiled at the bond.

The video still continued, only it switched to scene where the same woman held the camera in her hand and ran with giant t-rex following after her, either as predator following its prey or puppy following its mother, Maisie can't exactly tell.

"I don't understand how some people get used to every day running without getting tired. I'm running with Rexy around every damn day and I'm out of air." The woman complained, her breathing heavy and rapid when she slowed down slightly. "I need new lungs."

Maisie giggled silently at the woman's words, wondering who that person is. She seems pretty familiar, only she can't point finger where she saw her, if in some photo or tv or where. 

"Halt!"  The woman raised her outstreched arm in the air towards the approaching t-rex, aiming the camera at the big animal. And like she commanded, the t-rex Maisie guess is named Rexy stopped, staring down at the woman with tail wagging slowly.

"My uncle once said that dinosaurs have more common with today's birds, and I totally agree with him," Maisie tried to puzzle what the woman is doing, only seeing the camera shaking everywhere in blur. After a second it was pointed at the woman. "but sometimes I think Rexy recieved something from dogs. Look."
