Railgun Online. Book 3, Phantom Bullet

Two is a Crowd, Three is a Team.

The picture above (if wattpad would show it) is the side story arch that will preceed book 4 of Railgun Online, sort of like how the Calibur Arc was the side story for SAO. Where Sinon and Mikoto decide to play the first Horror VRMMO and end up running around screaming. It will also be a key introduction to the Magic Side.

Back in ALfheim Online.. another day of hunting and dungeon clearing had just ended for Asuna, Klein, Silica, Leafa, Lisbeth, and Mista.

And so the 5 of them decided it was high time to return to Yggsdrasil city and cheer Kirito and Mikoto on in the Bullet of Bullets.

When they arrived.. Touma was already waiting for them in the large house that Asuna had bought there.. waiting by the massive screen that was broadcasting the match.

As everyone settled down on the large couch, and Klein got himself a drink from the indoor bar. Asuna turned to Touma and asked what was foremost on her mind. "So.. how are they doing so far?"

"Well." said Touma. "They've taken down some players in the first part or so.. but after that they plain disappeared.. being pretty sneaky I think. Hey.. one thing though.. Kirito's avatar is a freaking girl!!"

Everyone stared at each other.

"Well.. he always kinda looked girly to begin with." said Leafa. "Knowing Kazuto, I bet he just went with it and fooled everyone by pretending."

"And I can see Misaka-chan being extremely annoyed by that." Klein said. "Hahaha!"

"So.. they've plain disappeared?" Mista asked as she watched the various battles going on the screen. "Sissy never was the sneaky type though."

"You'd be surprised." said Lisbeth. "Sure she's pretty direct IRL, but when you put a sword in her hand and put her in the woods and add the speed stats she's got, I can say she'll surprise you with how crafty she is."

"Well I can't see any other way she and Kirito would fight." said Silica. "I mean.. they're bringing swords to a gun fight!"

Everyone laughed at this.

"Yep.. only those two would think of that.." said Touma. "Me, I'd probably-"

"Right hook everything till it's down?" Asuna said, laughing once more. "Yeah.. we all know your style Touma. Anyways, is it true there's another Level 5 Esper playing in the BoB? Mikoto-chan told me there was somebody.."

"Yeah, Accelerator." said Touma. "He's a friend. But he's not exactly sociable. I can imagine him liking this kind of game way more then something like ALO."

"So which is scarier?" Silica asked. "Running into him IRL or in this game?"

"You kidding?" said Touma. "At least you don't see his rape face under that helmet in game.. IRL, he's even more unstoppable, AND you see his 'Hi, I'm going to Tear you To Pieces Now' Face."

"M-meep?" Silica whimpered.

"But he's a nice guy.. kinda.. sorta.. well you just have to get to know him." said Touma.

"Wow.. so these are professional players huh?" said Mista. "Eh, the armor on this game isn't as flashy as it is on ALO."

"Well, that's to be expected in a scifi steampunk warfare game." said Asuna. "I mean.. it's not like you could even customize armor in Halo. Speaking of that.. is that a guy wearing Master Chief armor?"

"Yep." said Touma. "According to the broadcasters, he's MasterRobot57.. apparently they've got different event items and armor sets based off of different scifi franchises. Accelerator is wearing an Advanced Suit from Dead Space 2. Plus he's got a classic Plasma Cutter."
