The music above is Congono's theme. It's also what he constantly plays on his drums when he draws close to an enemy. It is part of an elaborate combat strategy he developes to psychologically mess with his foes.
"Well! Ya going to stand there and stare at me!? Or are going to get on with this tournament!?" Accelerator spat.
"Well, Accelerator." said Sinon carefully. "Golden Desert Eagles? That's new... wouldn't that add a little weight to them?"
"Turns out I like em a little heavier.. makes it feel like I'm actually holding something in my hands." said Accelerator. "Anyways.. I thought the BoB would be a good place to settle a few things."
Mikoto narrowed her eyes and tightened her grip on her photon sword. She knew what Accelerator meant. But just talking about things wasn't his style."
"I knew there was a time where we'd eventually have to settle what happened." Mikoto said. "Guess I was kind of kidding myself that the day wouldn't come..."
Mikoto made to walk forward, but Kirito put out a hand, stopping her. "Wait.. Mikoto.. I'll do it.."
"Kirito.. this is something different." Mikoto said. "You and Sinon go on ahead.."
"No." said Kirito. "We move as a team, or not at all.. I'll finish this quick.. besides.. you already have baggage you need to deal with, what happened with Accelerator isn't something that needs to be settled with a duel."
"And how would you know?" Mikoto said.
"Cause.. Suguha told me.." Kirito said. "She told me everything... I know what happened Mikoto.. and I know what you've been living with.."
Mikoto felt her hear drop out of her body and her skin turn to ice. He knew?
Sinon gave Mikoto a concerned look. She could already feel the tension rising.. she remembered what Accelerator told her.. about killing.. about the conflict between him and Misaka.. with the Death Gun situation right now.. was it really the best time to be confronting this?
"Accelerator." said Sinon. "Just drop it.. please.. you two can talk about it IRL later.."
"This has waited too long Sinon." Accelerator growled. "Stay out of it, or I'll shoot ya up too!"
"The only one you'll be aiming your guns at is me." Kirito stepped forward and activated his photon sword, taking a ready stance. "I know what happened.. I know about project Radio Noise.. what you were forced to do.."
"Really!?" said Accelerator. "HA! Ya only heard it from her point of view!!"
"Wrong.." said Kirito. "After my sister told me what Mikoto told her.. I did some research. I snuck into some of the Academy City research facilities that kept records on all the Level Six projects."
"Heh.." said Accelerator. "How'd ya get past security?"
"I have a sword of my own IRL, I'll leave it at that."
"Ooooohh.. girly boy has some real life skill." said Accelerator. "Color me impressed. I guess even if you're in my way, I'll at least enjoy knocking you aside."
"Is that so?" Kirito grinned and raised his photon sword. "Come here and try it then.. I always liked a good duel."
Accelerator's hands were suddenly a blur without warning as he aimed his Desert Eagles at Kirito and fired.
Kiroto's humming blade whirled through the air as Kirito activated his Spinning Shield combo. Sparks flew as the bullets were easily deflected.
Kirito dashed forward, sending a Vorpal Strike straight at Accelerator's head. Accelerator dodged with ease, twitching his head aside and twirling one of his guns so that he shot right at Kirito's forehead from close range.. Kirito ducked the shot and let out several slicing combos.. all of which Accelerator managed to sidestep.
