Emma's P.O.V
"Where's Tyler?" I asked him, worry laced in my voice. I stood in front of him next to Nikki with my hands shaking at my sides. I had to calm my wolf down before she surfaced and attacked him. Not that it's his fault if anything happened to him, but she'd still attack whoever is standing in her way.
He's alright, right? Please say he is. Please say he is. Please say he is. Please... I chanted in my head.
Matt scratched his neck and stared at the floor. He gulped, looked up at me for second before staring back at the hard white tiles. Nikki placed her hand on his shoulder for comfort. He opened his mouth, trying to form words but he was doing a terrible job. "Um...he...I.."
"Oh god." I whimpered softly. "Please tell me his okay?"
"His..." He paused and looked behind my shoulder. I didn't know what he was looking at at this moment while I was worrying shitless but I didn't leave his eyes. I watched as his face turned into relief before he looked back at me. Smiling, he replied. "Right behind you."
I stiffened. Slowly, I turned around and looked around me until I spotted Tyler walking through the front door with a few pack members. He didn't seem to break a sweat unlike the others and was completely shirtless, making me unconsciously bite my lip as I stared at chest. But then I noticed three long claw marks spread above his six packs, making my worry return back like some tsunami.
The claw marks were red, slightly bleeding but didn't look too bad. If you looked closely, you could actually see the wounds were slowly healing, closing up by themselves as seconds passed. Soon, what was left was dried up blood.
I sighed with relief and examined his body for any more injuries. Luckily, I didn't find anything else because I had a feeling I would start having a heart attack if there was. I know it's a bit extreme but you would understand me if you found your mate. Just wait until your sixteenth birthday.
Unlike being shirtless, Tyler wore black basketball shorts to cover himself up. His dirty blonde hair was messed up but still looked sexy in a way. His green eyes were looking around him, as if he was searching for someone. They found mine and a look of relief washed over both our faces.
Not wasting another second, I ran towards him. He opened his arms for me and I jumped into them, a smile forming on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck while my legs were around his waist, feeling him hold me in his strong arms as he buried his face in my neck. He inhaled my scent which seems to calm him and his wolf down, knowing that his mate was alright and safe. Rose was no different. I found myself inhaling his scent without realizing it, making her purr softly.
"Your okay." I whispered and held him tighter.
"I'm Tyler but yes, I'm okay." He replied. I felt like hitting his head at that moment but let it slide this time. I was just happy he was safe.
Suddenly, realizing something, my eyes widened and I quickly pulled away from him, my legs still wrapped around his waist. "Where's Kale?!"
Tyler stared at me for a minute before giving me a sad look. He looked like he didn't want to answer the question and looked anywhere but my eyes.
I frowned, tears started forming in my eyes, making my vision blurry as I stared at him. "I'm so sorry, Emma."
"W-What do you m-mean?" I stuttered and shook my head. I unwrapped my legs around his waist and stood up straight in front of him. "Where's Kale, Tyler?" I asked him again firmly.
Tyler eyes softened when he saw my tears. My cheeks were wet from my tears that were falling like a river from my eyes but I didn't bother wiping them.
