i woke up to my phone blowing up with messages. stretching to reach for my phone, seeing that leo had been none stop texting me.

answer my call.

i sigh loudly looking at his name pop up on my phone. i honestly don't understand why he makes the biggest deal about me being with other guys. for god sake it's my brother and his roommate

"hello?" i say with another sigh following

"i'm so glad you're having fun in california or whatever but why do you feel the need to post all these random ass guys on your instagram? is your goal to make me upset?" i can practically hear him losing his breath over this situation

"i'm sorry i'm just confused i only posted trevor and his roommate"
i say over the phone as i walk out of my room to the bathroom

"i mean how do you think i feel? seeing you have fun with other guys. you've barely talked to me this entire week" he scoffs

"i'm sorry leo" i say, tears pricking in my eyes, feeling overwhelmed at a whopping 9:30 in the morning

"and who does this jamie kid think he is giving you nicknames"

"he's really just a friend, i've barely known him 3 days"

"whatever elodie" i hear as the line goes flat. if it was any other situation i'd go to trevor but 1 i've learned to never go to him with anything regarding boys cause he just gets angry and 2 he isn't even home right now

i let out yet another sigh. feeling defeated, i felt a wave of emotion take over as i let the tears fall. hearing a faint knock on the bathroom door. assuming the bathroom door, i quickly got up. cursing myself for being so selfish and taking up the bathroom just to be a cry baby

"i'm so sorry how inconsiderate of me to hog the bathroom. i'm sorry" i say walking out of the bathroom with my head down

"hey no, i was just checking to make sure you were okay" i hear jamie's voice as he grabs the side of my arm, making me face him

"oh yeah sorry i'm okay" i look up at hin with a weak smile

"elodie stop apologizing, i just want to make sure you're okay and i don't really think you are" he gives me an unsure face

"i'm really okay jamie i promise, just some stuff back home" i say. i appreciate how caring he is. "and please call me anything but elodie" i say as i let out a soft laugh. i don't like when people call me elodie, especially my friends. really only my extending family calls me elodie

"does this mean i can officially call you smokeshow?" he asks also letting out a small laugh

"i mean usually people just call me ellie or el, but whatever floats your boat jimmy" i smile up at him

i hear the front door open, assuming it's trevor. that being confirmed when i hear his booming voice

"hey guys i'm home!" he voices very loudly

"i think we could hear ya bud" jamie says making both of us laugh out loud

"hey trev how was the store?"

"it was fine, got all of our ingredients for our wonderful home cooked meal we are gonna cook up for you tonight"

"wow i really can't wait, i mean i know your a prodigy in the kitchen" i joke, he's really not the best cook

"hey i am a great cook"

"trevor you almost burnt the house down trying to make a grilled cheese"

"listen i didn't know the stove was that hot.."

"yeah okay bud" i scoff out sarcastically

had to add a little dickhead asshole leo in here for the plot. ngl guys i've been grinding these chapters should probably be grinding the homework but i have priorities 😛
