Students gathered as two battles were about to commence. Myself, Ezekiel, and Ceaser watch from the second floor as the fights are about to begin. As I pan my vision across the courtyard I spot the other two girls with Rose at the table.
One girl had medium-length pink hair, with medium layers, and pink eyes, and wore her uniform baggy, her sleeves longer than her arms, as she often yawned into them. The girl next to her had short yellow hair, a bob cut, with a pin on the left side of her hair, and a cute face. Both girls looked to be the same hit as Eriko.
"They are Sunneta and Azalea," Ceaser spoke. "B Class Mages. Class 1C"
"So there in her homeroom huh" I thought to myself.
"10 min is that enough time?" Ezekiel asks.
"Yes more than enough for them" Ceaser points at Luna and Faith.
"Should be easy"
I leaned over to Ezekiel "Hey this dude only speaks in short phrases" "Yeah I know man but he talked a lot inside the dining room earlier"
Ceaser looks over to us.
"Oh shit did he overhear us," I asked myself.
"Reason why I talk small." "I have a dry throat."
Me and Ezekiel both nod in understanding.
He extends his arm. As it looks like a bottle of water. He takes a sip.
GULP
"Sorry if I speak or barely speak at all. I have this condition where my throat gets dry and I can only speak in short phrases. Am not being rude its just my condition." Ceaser speaks as his voice gets some life into it.
"It matches his magic," Ezekiel says out loud.
"Yes, it does Ezekiel its kinda neat if. You were to say yourself." Ceaser's voice begins to go how it was before.
"Hey dont push yourself, man"
"All good. Let's watch the match" Ceaser says as he puts up a thumb.
We look towards the courtyard. Instead of using the full courtyard both the matches are split within the two areas of the courtyard. Axel observes Eriko and Rose. While on the other side, Issac watches the two vs two. With Luna and Faith vs Lily and Bella.
"I wonder what their abilities are?" I question. "You'll see" Ceaser responds.
"Two battles will transpire simultaneously due to the lack of time. I will observe Eriko vs Rose" Axel calls out.
"And I will be observing this tag team battle"
"Mages are you ready?" Axel asks.
Eriko unsheaths her rapier as she takes her stance. In this case, her right foot is forward, her front leg is bent while the back leg is straight, with her rapier in her right hand below her hips while her left hand is behind her.
Luna then summons a katana out of thin air. She unsheathes it taking the same high stance, with the katana's blade in her left hand with the sword in her right.
Faith activates a magic circle as a flow of water surrounds her body as she manipulates it with her hand motions.
Rose then activates her magic circle as it illuminates a rose gold color that matches her hair color.
Lily and Bella activate their magic circles they both glow white and purple respectively.
"Set" Issac says.
"GO"
The two battles begin.
On Axel's side the match starts off slow with the two feeling each other out. Whos going to make a move first.
Eriko awaits Rose's move. Rose summons a chain whip that she holds in her left hand, with 4 roses on its hilt, and a sharp edge at the end of it. She begins to swing the chain creating a sound in the air.
WHOSH WHOOSH SWHOOSH
"Argh" Rose swings her body to left, as she lets the pointed part hurl straight at Eriko at a fast speed. Eriko dodges the attack but Rose swings her left arm back sending the pointed edge back to Eriko.
Eriko gets back into a stance.
STAR MAGIC: HEAVEN BEAM
Eriko's rapier lights up once again and attempts to lunge beyond the chain but there turns out to be a huge mistake.
Rose smiles as if everything was going according to plan.
"Oh shit" I watched as the pointed edge does u turn go directly toward Eriko.
Eriko jumps up both Rose follows as she draws closer to Eriko. Without even noticing the chains turned into a restraint for Eriko.
"Ha you wouldn't think but notice that majority of your attacks are all lunges and forward attacks that involves getting close to your opponents?" Rose says.
With the pointed area now freed Rose uses it to attack Eriko as she braces for the attack.
POKE
"It touched Eriko."
"Huh," I dont feel any pain Eriko says to herself.
"That's the one advantage I have on you. I can hit you from a far distance. With Rosebud here I can guide by attacks to simply bind you and pierce you."
BLOOM
"Oh there it goes"
A rose appears on Eriko's left arm "What is this" Eriko wonders.
"Let it happen again and let's find out," Rose says as she smiles and temporarily gains the upper hand.
WARP
Eriko dematerializes from the chain restraint and appears a couple of feet away from Rose. Eriko looks at her left arm again. "It's still here."
WHOOSH
Another attack from Rosebud gets sent flying at Eriko. She attempts to block.
DASH
Rose appears in front of Eriko and slams her into the ground.
"I didn't say I couldn't attack from close range did I" Rose says again.
Back on the second floor.
"What the" I said aloud.
"C'mon Eriko what are you doing ?!" Ezekiel says shouting.
"Hmm," Ceaser says. "Is she. Holding back by chance?"
"Who?"
"Eriko?" I ask.
"Yes, it seems she wishes to do a movement. But decides not too last minute"
"Really?" "Yes Valerus her indecisiveness in this battle will be her downfall"
"Where was the Eriko that almost ALMOST kicked my ass?"
"How long has it been?" I ask Ceaser.
"Minute. Barley"
