I was still looking at my phone, trying to cope with what I read. And I suddenly got up.
_Dara! - Ice exclaimed surprised.
_Where are you going? You still have half of your plate full. - Ford pointed out.
_I think that Waan is in trouble. - I said, grabbing my stuff and letting all the food behind.
I didn't know where I was going, I was just following the real-time location that had been shared with me through the conversation chat. And it seemed like it was taking forever for me to arrive at the site.
I slowly realized that the GPS was guiding me to a part of the university that was more deserted than the rest. I was approaching a building that was closed and in which no classes or any other type of activity was taking place. It was clearly a trap of some sort and I was willingly getting caught on it, but I couldn't just ignore it while Waan was most likely in danger.
And if not me, who else was going to help her? Not the professors or the staff, and much less some higher up. I had already figured out this whole school was in the hands of a particular department, and, more specifically, in the hands of a particular person of that department.
After several minutes that made me realize just how big the whole university was, I finally made it to the outside of the room the GPS was indicating. I took a deep breath, gathering a little more courage and imagining the best way to react to what awaited me on the other side of the door.
The door was closed and it seemed stupid to knock, so I just went in. It took me a moment to gather what was happening.
The room was clearly not being used for any academic activities, it seemed more like a storage room of things that were also not being used. There were old chairs, some individual desks, boxes, cabinets, lockers and what I assumed were discarded paintings leaned against one of the walls, half-covered by a cloth that had once been white but was now quite dusty.
However, the rest of the things in that room didn't seem so dusty or neglected. On the contrary, they were surprisingly clean.
The first person that caught my attention was a red-haired girl that was standing in the front, smirking in a not so friendly way. Not far from her, stood Glitter, with her light blonde, wavy hair. She had her arms crossed and a serious expression on her face. A little bit further back, there were two other girls, one of them was a slim, tall girl with a long face and very long dark hair, which was tied into a low ponytail. The other girl that was seated in one of the desks was the Thailand Princess herself, Naree Adulyadej. She tilted her head to the side in a way that might have looked cute on anyone else, but the smile she gave me was too sharp for me to consider her action anything close to cute. It truly sent shivers over my whole body.
In the opposite corner of the room a fifth girl with black, wavy hair was sitting on a box looking extremely bored. She looked up at me but then seemed to decide that her own long nails were more interesting and began to admire them.
It didn't take much for me to find Waan, but she was the last one that I spotted even though she was in the center of the room. The reason was very simple: she was kneeling on the ground and her head was so lowered that it almost touched the floor. I was already rushing towards her when Naree spoke and stopped me.
_You're Waan's girlfriend, right? Dara, is it? I was getting tired of waiting already, I was wondering if you had been smart enough to just ignore the message, but it looks like you showed up in the end. - She shook Waan's phone that was in her hand and looked me up and down, down and up again.
I ignored her and talked to Waan instead. What I was ashamed of though was that I didn't take a single step in her direction.
_Waan? Why are you on the ground? Please stand up!
