A drop or two of hot coffee fell on my forearm. The same thing happened to the blonde girl's hand. She looked in my eyes with a surprised and irritated expression.

_Who are you?! Why are you meddling?

The other girls were also looking at me. I let her wrist go.

_Look at her uniform. - One of the other girls said. _She's from the Law department too, just like the homo.

_So you want to help your friend? - The blonde girl asked, looking me from head to toe and from the toe back. While they were talking, I was subtly and gently pulling Waan behind me to the side, away from them.

_That's right, Waan is a friend of mine. - I stated. _Why are you harassing her?

_You don't seem to know. - The blonde concluded. _You shouldn't interfere here, she's a shameless homo, she deserves everything that's going on. Just go or the milk will be spilled on you too.

Even though I was fearful for having stepped in after hearing Ford's and Ice's warning, I was getting angrier and angrier while listening to them talk about Waan like that. I almost greeted my teeth. Who were they to say things like that?! Just because of the department they were part of? Because of the families they were born in? What on Earth could sweet Waan have done to deserve such deleterious treatment?

_You who seem to be shameless. - I said while turning my back to them and grabbing Waan with me. _Don't harass Waan again, I'm sure she never did anything to deserve it.

I don't know if I was walking too fast or if they're too surprised with my reaction that Waan and I were never reached. We rushed through the campus and soon we passed the entrance gates. I was still grabbing Waan's arm and she had no choice other than to be led by me to the second closest bus stop.

_Weren't your father coming to pick you up? - I finally stopped and asked her.

It took some seconds for Waan to answer me, she was breathing in and out, trying to recover her breath.

_I'm supposed to dine with him and his family. He said he couldn't do it and for me to go there by myself. - She responded.

_Do you want me to take you there? - I offered.

Immediately, Waan shook her head.

_I can't go there now. - I noticed she was still shaking.

_So you'll come with me to my house. - I decided when I saw the bus approaching us. We got on the bus and sat side by side, but remained silent till we reached my house. I passed the gym and barely greeted my father and the other people there while I rushed to my room with Waan.

When she was comfortable sitting down, I stared at her briefly checking her state and asked.

_Are you okay? - I felt dumb asking this, she clearly wasn't okay. But at the same time, I didn't know what else to say.

She shook her head.

_You shouldn't have helped me, they're going to target you too now. - She looked at me with round eyes. _You're going to be in trouble because of me.

I sat with her, on the cushions on the ground right beside my bed and placed a hand on her shoulder.

_Of course I should, you're my best friend, Waan. And they were the ones in the wrong, I still can't believe all the disgusting things they were saying.

_You think... You think what they said about me... you think it is disgusting? - She had her head low, her eyes facing her feet.

_I think they're disgusting. The way they talked about you and the way they treated you, this is what I think is disgusting. I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong. - I replied and I could see her eyes watering when she finally faced me. _I know you are not the culprit... but how did it happen?
