When I went back to the classroom, it was almost time for the class to start. While I was sitting in the same place I did yesterday, I noticed two things. The first one was that Waan hadn't arrived yet. The second was something on my desk. I was extremely suspicious about it even though it looked like a gift of some sort.
Inspecting it, I discovered it was a round shaped box of fancy chocolate. On it there was a note.
You're cool. I want us to be friends. :) Ass. Nam
_Wow! Someone gave her a gift already? Looks like you're late! - I heard a boy's voice somewhere behind me.
_No, it doesn't mean she's taken. I still have a chance. - Another one said.
I lifted my head and looked somewhere behind me. A boy with pale skin and round shaped face smiled at me.
_Nam? - I mouthed at him without making a sound.
He nodded and I smiled back just when the class was starting. I could be being naive, but I concluded that boy was being genuine. After the class was dismissed for lunch, I went to talk to him.
_I hope you like those. - He said, indicating the chocolates.
_Thank you! - I responded, _But I'll have to taste it first, I never tried it.
_So, friends? - He asked, offering me his hand. I shook it.
_Unless these are poisoned, friends. - I smiled back.
_Do you want to have lunch with me and my friends? - He suggested at the same time I spotted Ice and Ford waving at me from the door.
_Today I'm going with my friends there, but thank you. - I gently declined while getting my backpack and heading to the door. _Nice to meet you, Nam.
_Made a new friend? - Ford asked me when I joined him and Ice.
_I think so. - I answered.
_And what about Waan? - Ice peeked inside the classroom.
_She didn't come today. I messaged her and she just replied saying she wasn't feeling well.
_Is she sick? - Ice insisted.
Before I could answer, one of my male classmates passed by us and inked at me.
_Oh, it seems you're miss popularity. - Ford joked. I ignored him and answered Ice.
_I don't think that's the case. I'll explain everything once we're in the cafeteria. - And just as I said, I did. When the three of us were well accommodated on our seats, I told them what happened the previous day. When I finished my tale, their faces were livid.
_I don't know if you're the most courageous or the dumbest person I've ever seen. - Ford stated and received a punch in his left arm from Ice.
_I couldn't just let Waan be bullied. - I defended my actions.
_I understand. - Ice said gently. _Can you describe these girls to us?
_They were here yesterday, but I just can't spot them today. - I stated while searching the dining hall.
_If they were here, it means they're not from Naree's inner circle at least. - Ford almost sighed in relief. _You're probably clean.
_I think she's talking about Glitter. - Ice seemed a little bit more worried than Ford. _She's always with Kaew and that other girl that I never learned the name.
Ford's relieved expression changed a bit.
_Was it the blonde girl? - He questioned me.
_Yes, it was her and her two friends.
