It was quiet, too quiet. The Governor tried to overpower us. It didn't work out too well. Tons of our people died. But, we gained new ones. Most of the Governor's group and community ran to us for protection. And we gladly accepted them into our home. They were innocent. They weren't like him.

It was a nice day. A bit windy but the sun was shining and bright as ever. Everything was going great. We have a home. The Governor left. Some say he gave up. But, Rick has his suspicions. He thinks he will come back later with a bigger army. I really hope not. But! Carol started teaching the kids. We placed a group of us leaders to help out. After Lori, Rick hasn't been the same since. We can't let him do this by himself. And we won't.

Hershal, Glenn, Maggie, Rick, Carol, Daryl, me, etc.

Hershal was the one who was the stern one in the group. The head. He always thought two steps ahead and always thought of the consequences of our actions.

We gained two new members. Tara and Shawn. They came in with a group but half sadly went to the enemies side. They died in battle. The prisoners we had found before everyone. When we first cleared this place. 5-6 prisoners were trapped, alive. They all died. None survived. They didn't know how to survive in this world. It wouldn't have worked out in the end for either of them.

Beth found a guy. I was happy. After her old boyfriend at the farm. She hasn't been the same. She went through a lot. Her mother died, her dad got bitten, and then her boyfriend Jimmy got ripped to shreds by a herd of walkers. Ben is her new boyfriend. He was a nice kid with kind heart. It was cute. Puppy love!

I woke up to Daryl next to me. His arm wrapped around my waist. His face is the crock of my neck. Breathing down it as I shiver. His big muscles weighed me down and his ruff hands brushed against the skin on my arm and waist. I wanted to be here all day but we had a supply run to go on. Rick said we are running low on a few veggies and we should keep a lookout for some more.

I pulled his arm off of me. Once I get up I hear him groan. Asking me where I was going in particular. I simply told him we had a supply run and he needed to get dressed. And shower, cause ew. I get up and leave but before I do I throw his vest on his face. This leaves him to grasp it into his first and throw it across the cell. I couldn't help but laugh.

I walked out and met with Beth. She was making breakfast. It was early and she was doing hard labor while also watching over Judith. Judith was Carl's sister. Rick's daughter. Lori died by giving birth. Bleed to death. She wasn't going to make it and Maggie saved the baby like she was told to do. Cut Lori open on her old surgery scar from when she had Carl. I remember seeing Maggie walk out after the incident, we were split up due to an alarm going off. She was covered in blood as she cradled Judith's small body in her arms.

I grabbed the bowl of noodles she handed me and grabbed a few seasonings to put inside. As I mixed it up I heard Daryl crawl his way out of bed and out of our cell door. Finally. I smile at him and he gives me a weak one back. He was tried. Yesterday was hard labor for him. Rick wanted help with the small farm he made in the prison yard. Daryl was free and ablied. He certainly regrets it.

Daryl walks back after awhile. His hair that was messy now clean. I could smell him, motor oil on his vest, and Vanilla in his hair. I couldn't help but glance at the left over water dropplets on his arms. Showing off his vains and big muscles.

He comes towards me and tells me to get the supplies for the run. I finished off my noodles and gave the bowl to Carol as she cleaned it. She smiles and told me good luck right before I left the cell block. I had my knife, water bottle, handgun, and lock picks. The handgun is small and doesn't have much kick back as a big gun. And lock picks, I honestly don't know. We could possibly use them. I used to carry them around a lot as a child. They were my father's. It's the only thing I have left from him. So, I kept them. And they could possibly be put to good use. For example, I stabbed a walker with one, went straight through the eye. Blood pooled out of it as i penetrated it.

I got to the truck. The back has a shovel, a couple of bags for food, and a spear. I made sure the front was cleaned up a bit so more people can fit. As I dusted out the floor a boy came up to me. Ben. He asked me if he could ride along. He knew he would be risking his life. He didn't care. He wanted to provide for the group. To help. I told him as long as Beth was okay with it and Daryl too, I was. He smiled big and nods. He ran off to grab his stuff and talk to Beth.

Daryl came out. Adjusting his vest as he squinted his eyes shut from the sunlight. Shawn hopped in as well as Glenn, Maggie, Tara, and bob. Bob I never got to talk to. He never gave off the vibe that he was cool and trustworthy. Glenn and Maggie, the power couple. Them I knew for awhile. I trusted them then and I will trust them now. As for Tara and Shawn. They showed their worth. And they showed us their priorities and we welcomed it.

As everyone jumped in the back, I hoped on the front with Daryl. Ben was in the back. He talked through the back small window. Kept asking us what we were before this. I told him mine as it wasn't a secret. Daryl on the other hand liked to keep the past in the past. So, he kept guessing on the way there. I could see it was getting on Daryl's nerves but, he secretly liked the kid. I mean who couldn't! He is basically risking his life right now by being out here and he volunteered.

We see an old grocery store up ahead. Tara lead us there with the map she held. As he parked Ben still asked more about Daryl. He was the type to keep a part of him mysterious so no one's asks about it but of course Ben here is.

Daryl knocked on the window and waited. Ben guessed he was FBI. I couldn't help but laugh. Daryl's went on with it. Saying he was and how he went under over and is now. Ben just scoffs and continues guessing. As I was distracted a walker bumps the window. His rotten flesh and visible bones was enough to make me gag. Daryl's noticed a side door and we all walked through. As long as he takes this slow and together, we can get supplies and kill the walkers as well.

I walk to an aisle and see a camera. I haven't used one of theses since the world ended. It was disposable so it should still work. I grabbed on and stuffed it in my satchel. I see stuff like batteries, water, a few canned stuff and stuffed them inside my bag as well. I kill a few walkers. Smashing their head in with stacked cans. I mena come in, we all have to have some sort of fun here and there. I do have to take this seriously as this is a big place to cover.

I see Tara and Shawn with a trolley. They found some cleaning supplies and clothes. Jackpot! I give them a nod as I walk into the next aisle.

I hear something fall. I freeze as I scan the area. I see Bob by the alcohol shelf. He held a bottle in hand and scanned it. He was reluctant and placed the bottle back onto the shelf. With one movement the shelf have falling down upon him. Bob screams and braces himself as he gets pinned by the shelf. Liquid and glass splattered everywhere.

Everyone else comes rushing in and helps out. Ben puts his back into it and lifts up the shelf. That's when I hear a noice. Like a twig snap. It was walkers. More surrounded us from the loud noise. Bob was done for. Daryl helped out but that's when a walker bites Bens ankle. He falls to the ground as he screams. Flesh pulled away from his bones as the walker eats it.

I rush to bens side but a walker crawls on top of him before I could make it. He bites down on his neck. I froze. Daryl pulled me back with such strength and called everyone to run out alongside him. He ran, hoped on the truck and rode on. I couldn't help but stare into space. I couldn't get the scene out of my head. He was ton young. He was only 18 years old. I could tell everyone was fazed, even Daryl. He was starting to like the kid. Especially since I couldn't get pregnant, I started to see him as a son figure. He even accidentally called me mom one day. I gave him warm clothes after they were welcomed into the prison. Calls me ma'am like a gentleman.

Daryl's sighs as he placed his hand on my thigh. I calmed down as I looked at him. His brown eye shine in the sunlight. One hand on the wheel and one hand on my thigh to comfort me. I couldn't help but want to cry. Everyone is so used to this that we stopped crying. Morning the dead was out of the question as they died everyday. I am just dreading the time I have to tell Beth that had Ben died. I just hope she takes it well. At least better then I am. She knows him like the back of her hand. He was like an open book. Her loverboy.
