Nightmare Dreams

This is only just the beginning

The weeks have gone by. But for their troubles, it doesn't end here. The darkness which they thought had left behind is only just slowly creeping up on them all. As its currently a Tuesday night 2.00am in the morning and strange things are already about to happen.

When there's a sudden knock at the door.

The knock continues with each break in between about three times before the fourth knock finally awakens Eerrick.

As he gets up to leave the room he's stood between the two rooms.

Going around each room to see if the strange knock had woke any of the other's. Checking the girls room the door creekingly opens just a little bit but appear to be fast asleep.

He checks back into his room where Adi is deeply into his sleep, before finally checking on Miles and Luke to then find Miles has been awoken.

He looks back at Eerrick.

"What you doing?" He asks rubbing his eyes.

"Did you hear knocking?" He asks Miles curiously.

"No? What knocking, is someone here? What time is it?" As he checks his phone. "Its 2:02 in the morning how is someone gonna be knocking on doors at this time?!" Confused.

"I don't know but i heard about four knocks. Like coming from the front door i don't know."

"Is anyone else awake?" Miles asks.

Just as Meg gets up to use the bathroom she spots Eerrick outside Miles and Lukes room.

"What are you doing?"

"I just got up to hearing knocking and wondered if anyone else heard it too but no one else was awake except Miles has now just woke up."

Miles quietly comes out the room.

"Did you hear the knocking?" He asks.

But Meg looking at them both confused. "What knocking? Who would be up at this time- what time is it?

"2:04am right now." Miles says looking back at his phone.

"2:0 fricking 4!? Why the fuck would would anyone be out at this time?"

But they shrug.

Suddenly the knocking is heard again.

Hearts suddenly drop.

"What  the  actual  fuck!." Whispers Meg.

"Do you think they heard us?" Asks Miles nervingly asking.

"No we're whispering." Eerrick says.

When Eerrick then bravely takes a look downstairs to crouch on a step to see through the door window but doesn't see anything.

So he looks through the peep hole but to see nothing.

"There's no one there." He says.

Then they hear something knocking on the back door. Things are about to get serious.

Meghan, Miles and Eerrick all follow into the kitchen with Meg and Miles both standing four meters away from Eerrick as he heads towards the back door however, there's no peep hole so no one can determine whether or not anyone's outside in the out house.

But just as the knocking stops and Eerrick opens the door he looks out. Looking right, but the door that leads to the back garden is still locked, but then as he looks to his left his eyes widen as he notices the door which leads round to the side of the house so you can easily access the bins is open only by a quarter.

He quickly closes and locks the kitchen back door.

"Whats happened, someone outside?!" Meg asks.

"No i didn't see anyone but as as i looked to the left the door that leads down the side of the house is a quarter open."

"So someone's outside?!" Questions Meg.

"I don't know if its anyone or something. Could be an animal?" Eerrick assumes.

Trying to get to to the bottom of this to find out who is lurking around their home. Miles and Meg both linger the camera through the side view windows to see passed the side of the house and the back garden but nothing that they can see. Although Miles still has his suspicions about the back garden so he hangs around for a while looking around with the camera, zooming in and even turning the flashlight on he shines the light around the areas where someone could possibly be hiding.

But then just as they were about to give up, from out of the blue another message comes through on Eericks phone.

"Its from Steph again."

"What a coincidence." Booms Meg.

"What she say?" Miles kindly asks.

"Sorry about the weird no straight up messages back but I've had some weird phenomenons happen to me and it took me a while but i feel like whatever is happening to you is also happening to me like a call out from the unknown to say "your friends are in need of your help." That's why I've just managed to finally reach through to you and now be able to also help out with your weight outings."

But the others seem confused.

"Wait so everything she's experiencing is what we've all been through and something is sending a message to her to say this is a sign?" Miles says theoretically.

"So you're saying that this is like we're having these connections through different universes, parallel universe!" Eerrick simplifies.

"Omg!" Meg says.

"This is weird." States Miles.

But then all of a sudden, Eerrick spots something else out the window that spooks him. It appears to be a shadow casting on the fence or a dark figure stood by the back fence. No one had seen it before but maybe it had just appeared there or had probably appeared there coincidentally just after Steph had messaged.

The figure was still with no movement but still they feared that if they turned away it might still be there.

Another sudden knock at the door.

They stand scared stiff, is this the strange figure doing this? Or is there actually someone who is outside?

Though as brave as they were before however, now is different for them. But Eerrick still determined to know who it may be crouches as he sneaks towards the door in Batman style. Looking up slowly through the peep hole as their thudding hearts race to then a smoother flowing rhythm as Eerrick gives the clear that its just Steph. Feeling relieved though realizing- "Steph?" How'd she find or even knew anyone would even be here is unknown.

Eerrick opens the door.

As she enters, straight away, Eerrick is desperate.

"A stroke of luck how you turned up because we think there's something or someone outside in the garden." He explains.

"What?" She says normally as if she's slightly happy about it.

Coming through to the kitchen though they come to the window but to their surprise.....they find.....nothing. The figure had disappeared.

Both Miles and Meg baffled by this almost like the figure know she was coming so had made a quick run for it.

But Miles then speaks his mind about it. "That's weird. You suddenly turned up and now its just suddenly gone." Stunned by this but freaking out. "I'm standing by the wall- this is weird."

But then, suddenly the bins outside sound like they've been knocked over.

Standing complete still with fear Miles and Meg again show a shocked, feared look on their face but Meg starts laughing but walks over to the wall where Miles is still standing with the camera not willing to move.

"No, no, no- im not doing this. Eerrick what is that, i say you both go out. Miles and I will wait here I'm done with spooky shit now." She says.

I need a weapon or something for protection in case its actually a person out there messing with us." Eerrick says looking around for something to resemble a weapon.

They approach the door.
