Disclaimer: Mo Dao Zu Shi and The Untamed do not belong to me. The settings, characters, and plot belong, respectively, to Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and the screenwriters of The Untamed. Here, only the plot of this fanfiction and my four OCs, Huang Minghui / Lan Minghui, Lan Biyun, Li Xingsi / Wei Xingsi, and Bai Yilian / Nie Yilian, are my creations. And an important reminder that this ISN'T REAL; please value your lives and do not try to get hit by a car to get this sort of adventure.

Early the next morning, Wei Xingsi bounded out of bed, dressing herself quickly and preparing for lectures. Making sure that her lavender-embroidered white robes were clean and presentable, she slid Xinshuang into her belt and grabbed Xuejiang. Wei Xingsi wasn't exactly excited for lectures; it was more about seeing her friends. She found Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng speaking with Nie Huaisang as they slowly made their way to the Lanshi.

"...Who? Lan Qiren?" Wei Wuxian was saying.

Nie Huaisang shook his head. "No, it's his second nephew, Lan Zhan! He's supposedly one of the greatest cultivators of our generation; a model student!"

Gossiping about A-Ying's future husband, I see, Wei Xingsi laughed internally.

Wei Wuxian then excitedly started talking about his fight with Lan Wangji the previous night, gathering different reactions from everyone. Jiang Cheng was exasperated that Wei Wuxian, like always, was bringing trouble with him wherever he went, while Nie Huaisang was in awe. Wei Xingsi had already known that this would happen, so she was far from surprised.

Wei Xingsi entered the Lanshi, barely managing to contain her excitement about seeing her friends. Entering at the same time as Lan Biyun and Lan Minghui, she felt a strong urge to scream out in relief and talk to them about everything that had been going on in her life.

Nie Yilian came in right after them. Despite having been separated from her for ten years, she was still easily recognizable. Her dark brown hair, which had been short in her previous life, was held up with a greyish-green jade hairpiece, a change that Wei Xingsi'd yet to get used to. But the small signs indicating Nie Yilian's familiar warm nature and innocence, like her warm, dark brown eyes and the small hint of a smile, were still there.

Sitting together closer to the back of the room, to the surprise of a few others (Lan Wangji looked at his sisters with the barest hint of confusion and maybe... Hurt? A few Lan disciples looked at them in surprise, while Jiang Cheng, Wei Wuxian, and Jiang Yanli looked at Wei Xingsi, surprised).

"Let's meet at the back hill after the ceremony," Wei Xingsi suggested quietly, smiling. "I'm so happy to see you again!"

Lan Minghui opened her mouth to answer, but Lan Qiren called for attention, and she put off her reply.

Lan Qiren started reading out all the rules for them to remember. As the list of rules got longer and longer, everyone present (with the exception of the members of the Gusu Lan Sect) sweatdropped nervously, Nie Yilian and Wei Xingsi included. Thankfully, he eventually finished, and the saluting ceremony began.

The Lanling Jin Sect went up first. After Peacock- Jin Zixuan and his fellow disciples returned to their seats, Nie Huaisang and Meng Yao stood up. As Nie Huaisang walked between the rows of desks, Wei Wuxian, being the silly person he was, used the tiniest amount of spiritual energy to make Nie Huaisang trip, falling slightly towards Wei Xingsi.

After making sure that Lan Qiren hadn't noticed, Nie Huaisang glared at Wei Wuxian before bowing slightly towards Wei Xingsi and mouthing, Sorry! while blushing a little in embarrassment.

Wei Xingsi, who was also feeling a little self-conscious about the situation, nodded and quickly diverted her gaze from him. Next to him, the Lan twins just smirked while Nie Yilian hid her laugh behind her sleeve. Wei Xingsi shot them a dirty look in amusement, and before they knew it, Jiang Cheng was standing up to present the Yunmeng Jiang Sect's gift to Lan Qiren.

The four girls held their breaths nervously as Jiang Cheng kneeled before Lan Qiren and introduced himself. Just as he began speaking about the Yunmeng Jiang Sect's gift, the door of the Lanshi was thrown open as Wen Chou- (Not) Sorry, Wen Chao[s] burst in with Wen Ning, Wen Qing, and several other members of the Qishan Wen Sect.

"I never knew that the Cloud Recesses were so hard to enter!" Wen Chao sneered.

"I was not aware that the Qishan Wen Sect would be coming to the Cloud Recesses. Is Wen-gongzi here to attend the lectures?" Lan Xichen asked, keeping an even, calm tone despite the impolite disruption.

Wen Chao snorted. "The Qishan Wen Sect has always been educating others; we have no need for this useless lecture of yours."

Educate others on what exactly? Wei Xingsi snickered internally.

Lan Wangji, aggravated by Wen Chao's words, started at him angrily, but a warning glance from his siblings made him stop.

Wei Wuxian spoke up. "Then, in that case, why did Wen-gongzi come?"

"Who is this hangdog?" Wen Chao snapped.

Fuck you, Wen Chao. You're the hangdog here.

"Wei Wuxian of the Yunmeng Jiang Clan," Wei Wuxian introduced.

"Even a nobody dares interrupt me!"

"Who are you calling a nobody?!" Wei Xingsi yelled, unable to contain her anger anymore.

"My brother, Jiang Cheng, was just saluting now; how can you just burst in and shout like this?" Wei Wuxian demanded. "Is THIS how the Qishan Wen Sect educates others?"

"Today, I will show you how the Qishan Wen Sect deals with those who don't listen," Wen Chao declared.

Jiang Cheng sighed in frustration. "Wen-gongzi, must you be so arro- aggressive?"

Wen Chao glared at him. "The Yunmeng Jiang Sect is ignorant of etiquette! If we don't give you a lesson, people will say that we don't stick to our principles!"

With a signal from him, the disciples of the Qishan Wen Sect drew their swords. Many of the other disciples, be they disciples of the Lanling Jin Sect, Gusu Lan Sect, Yunmeng Jiang Sect, or Qinghe Nie Sect, also drew their weapons. Lan Xichen, seeing that the situation at hand wasn't getting anywhere, took out his xiao, Liebing. He started playing a warm, soft melody that caused the swords to rise out of their wielders' hands and land down in front of them. Wei Xingsi recognized the melody as "Liebing", both from the soundtrack of The Untamed and as a melody that she'd learned on Xinshuang.

Wen Ning and Wen Qing stepped out of the cluster of Wen disciples. After quickly explaining their situation and presenting their gift, Lan Xichen let them stay. He then proceeded to berate Wen Chao for his behavior before sending him away.

The ceremony resumed.

(A/N): If you don't understand the Wen Chou- (Not) Sorry, Wen Chao[s] part, it's because that the "Chao" from Wen Chao sounds similar to "Chou", which, depending on the way of writing, can translate to ugly or bad-smelling amongst other translations. Honestly, I think Wen Chou would be a better-suiting name for Wen Chao XD

Anyways, I hope that you're enjoying this! Stay tuned for updates and have a nice day/night <3
