Bailey

The moment my eyes opened I winced, the lights in the room way too bright. I also groaned, hating the way my entire body felt like it was hit by a truck. When I was looking around I frowned, was I in a hospital room? It seemed like a nice room, I had no idea why I was here though. The pain in my body plus all the cuts and bruises on my body was probably why. But then again... who was I? My fingers started poking the tan skin on my arm, it seems I've been in the sun a lot recently. But I couldn't say for sure, I don't know when the last time I was in the sun was. I don't even know what my name is, what is going on?

My heart started beating faster as I looked around the room, realizing I was alone. I quickly got out of bed, ripping the IV out of my arm as I stood and ran into the bathroom. The face staring back at me was completely unrecognizable. Is this some kind of sick joke?

The man staring back at me had blonde curly hair, dark brown eyes like chocolate that looked completely scared. I had a split in my left eyebrow with a scar, some freckles sprinkled across my neck and nose. I quickly looked at the rest of my body to see if anything looked familiar, and it didn't. I didn't recognize the slim legs covered in bruises and some... more scars? Where were all these coming from? I then realized I had a pair of new looking boxers, and god, I didn't even know if I liked boxers or briefs. Why would I remember everything except my entire life? Who the hell is this person?

Tears were springing into my eyes threatening to fall as I made my way back over to the bed, my body shaking now. Before I could actually fall apart the door was opening and a nurse was walking into the room, her smile fading when she saw the state I was in. "Let me help with your IV."

After that was all sorted she left, a doctor then coming in with another nurse. He smiled, the gesture softening his face as he sat on the edge of my bed. "Good morning, how are you feeling?"

"I... I don't know," I whispered while looking between him and the other person. "Do you know me?"

His dark eyebrows scrunched together as he asked, "Do you know who you are?"

"No!" I all but shouted while breathing heavily. "I don't know why I'm in here, I don't know what my name is, nothing about me."

The doctor slowly nodded before standing up and shining a light into my eyes. "Do you know what year it is?" When I told him he nodded again. "Good, and the president?" When I responded he nodded again. "And it's just everything about your life you're not remembering?"

"Nothing," I said while shaking my head. "The only thing I know is I remember hearing someone talking right next to me. He said his name was Officer David Hernandez, I'm assuming I know him? It sounded like he was on the phone before everything went black. Can I talk to him? If we were together he must know who I am."

"Let me see what I can do. For now go ahead and rest, I'll come back in a little bit to check on you."

With that they left, my fingers clinging into my hair. This has to be a bad dream, it has to be. I kept pinching my skin while whispering, "Please wake up, please wake up."

It took a little bit until the doctor came back but he checked on me again and made sure I actually ate something. I asked if David was coming and he said he was, making me feel slightly relieved. I must know this man if we were together, maybe he knew more about me.

I basically ended up twiddling my thumbs together before a knock came at the door and a police officer walked in. His dark eyes looked right at me, but nothing seemed familiar about him. He was tall, broad shoulders filled out nicely in his uniform. Well... I must be bisexual or gay. Because I really enjoyed his body in that uniform. But anyway he had black hair, small stubble on his slightly darker skinned complexion.
