jamie's point of view

it was ellie's last day in anaheim, after her spending a week with me and trevor i would be lying if i was saying i wouldn't miss her a little bit. she is a fascinating girl. this whole week i've caught myself thinking about her and wondering what goes on in her head

"hey jimmy you ready?" i hear her voice behind me. i find myself getting sad slightly knowing she's leaving so soon

"yes ma'am i am" i say, walking toward her and trevor, hearing her giggle slightly

we all hope in the car, with trevor driving and elodie in the front. i was
banished to the back. which unfortunately meant i was not in control of the music. i see ellie fiddling on trevor's phone assuming she's in charge of our music for the drive to the airport. seeing her tap
the screen hearing some lousy country song turn on

"ellie what the hell is this?" trevor asks, clearly not approving of the country music playing over his sound system

"what!? is zach bryan" she replies, whining slightly at his judgement

i peak over the drivers seat to see 'going south' by zach bryan on apple car play. i didn't hate it, though i've never been a big country music fan. i can hear her slightly hum the tune. just a few minutes later, hearing just the song. looking over seeing her out like a light in the front seat

as we arrive to the airport, trevor breaks our conversation to tap his younger sister who is still passed out

"hey el we're here" he whispers to here. instead of responding, she turns toward trevor with a sad look on her face

"i know you're sad ellie but we gotta get you back to oklahoma"

"i know" she sighs with a frown

i get out of my seat to grab her bags from the trunk. as trevor and elodie jump out of the car only to be met in each others arms a few seconds later

"i'm gonna miss you guys so much thank you for letting me stay with you guys i've had so much fun" she mumbles into trevor's chest. after breaking her embrace with her brother, i felt her arms wrap around me as i hug her back

"by ellie it was so nice meeting you"

"jimmy i'll miss youuu" she says as she lets go. grabbing her suitcase and waving a final goodbye. i know how close her and trevor are so i know how hard it is for them

"you're totally into my sister" trevor states unexpectedly getting into the car

"bro what are you talking about"

"it's so obvious jamie"

"trevor i just met the girl" i respond, confused as this accusation came out of no where

"so, the way you look at her bro. you better tread lightly"

"i have nothing to tread cause i am not into your sister"

"yeah whatever bro" trevor playfully rolls his eyes

"doesn't she have a boyfriend anyway?" i ask after hearing the conversation with whoever she was on the phone with the other day, some leo kid?

"not that i know of. why do you ask? i mean i know she was like talking to some guy like a month ago"

"i heard her on the phone with someone i think his name is leo. then she came out of the bathroom crying"

"you're joking"

"nah bro she said it was just stuff back home but im sure that wasn't why"

"yeah bullshit bro. thanks for telling me she'll definitely be hearing it from me later"
