To Love A Blind Beast

chapter 14.

I woke up smiling, I had the sweetest dream ever.  I sighed rolling over the bed. Is my bed always this heavenly. Hold up when did I go to bed. Okay it's night time already but why.......oh my goddess IM IN ELIJAH'S BED!!! Okay Liah don't freak out, be cool don't freak out, I'm definitely freaking out. Good Lord!!
Okay this Pillows smell soo good, and this bed, what!
Wait it's already dark, shit Liah,  mom will kill me. And I'm so hungry, yeah food first, then we will be able to handle this situation better.

The room was dimly light as the moon shone through the floor to ceiling windows. It just suits him the dark wooden finish, Grey , black and white as the theme colors of the room, but it still had some character to it. A plant or two could be added but the room was perfect.

The door wasn't closed, so I stepped out as I took in every interior of the house. The theme seemed to be wooden ,rustic , somewhat boho. It was a good combo. Though by the time I reached downstairs, i realized  the house wasn't really decorated. It was just furnished, the owner is blind maybe that's why.

The smell of food had me seize my exploring and follow it towards a spacious kitchen. The alpha was leaning against the kitchen island facing a cooking pot placed on the stove.  Was he...
"You can cook!!"
The alpha not surprised by my sudden appearance and outburst just chuckled. Looking towards where I stood. 
Okay I'm really starting to question if he is indeed blind.
"I'm blind kitten , and the stove is off"
He said like it was the most obvious thing.
"Who made that?"
"My house manager "
"Ooooh"
He just chuckled again motioning me over to him,
"You must be hungry, come"
"How did you know?"
" you slept through lunch "
I just managed another ooooh, before I walked towards him.
I blame it on my hunger ,when I'm hungry my brain refuses to function properly. I let out a loud yawn my stomach rumbling angrily. The alpha chuckled reaching out for me. He rubbed my stomach slightly.
I just can't seem to stay around this man without embarrassing myself. My face was soo hot I think I might bust a vein.

"Sit down kitten, let me feed you"
I just nodded and walked to the kitchen island head facing down still embarrassed. Finally I looked up and watched my mate work around the kitchen effortlessly. He was truly amazing. I know he gets that a lot and doesn't like it. But not just anybody can do what he does without letting their disability weigh them down.
As I continued watching him I realized that he truly was blind. I know we all know that but he never gives one a chance to truly think about it. He was feeling where the plates and Spoons where using his hands. The location of the pot too, he seems to be using some sort of echo or something. Because he wasn't always feeling stuff with hands, he would take his time to maneuver around but still managed to make it look elegant, seamless and effortless almost natural. And maybe to him it was considering how perfect he is.

But the more I thought about him the more protective I wanted to be of him, I know he is the alpha but I want to take care of him. To love him. Make his life a lot easier and mostly happier. Watching him now just made me come to a conclusion that no matter what I will fight for him. It doesn't matter if he doesn't want me ,I am Liah Grayson I don't go down without a fight. And once I set my mind on something I don't go back.

I'm sorry my dear mate, but I meant what I said,  you're stuck with me to the bitter end. Only I will try my hardest to make it sweet. I will protect you and care for you, whether you like or not. You are always taking care of this pack but shut everyone out, but not me ,I will not let you shut me out.

Oh moon goddess help me ease my mate's burden , help me make him know true happiness, help me make him understand how it feels to be truly loved.

My thoughts were interrupted when Elijah handed me a plate of food. He held another of his own as he sat next to me.
We were eating in comfortable silence when I suddenly remembered something. I looked up searching for a clock.

"Oh goodness I'm dead meat! It's almost midnight! My mum is gonna kill me!"

The alpha next to me just chuckled.
"Don't laugh, it's your fault. I need to leave or else..."
I didn't even finish my rambling when a deep growl vibrated across the room.
"You aren't going anywhere "
Okaaay, someone is becoming possessive. But I didn't dare say anything out loud. I actually didn't want to leave but my mom, oh well we can always postpone my death. I will just mindlink her to ease her worries then deal with her later.

Elijah was still glaring in my direction. Like the good girl I am, I quickly took our empty plates and washed them on the sink. He was still looking my way following my every movement. Now I'm nervous and I become clumsy when I'm nervous.
The spoon dropped from my hand when I was drying it off. I bent down to pick it only to be hit by the edge of the counter. Someone kill me now!

Before I could even stand holding my head from the pain, Elijah was by my side. He growled at me again picking me bridal style.

Well, at least I was done with cleaning the dishes.
