Akshat's POV

I was walking towards the washroom when I bumped into someone. I looked down as she was picking up her phone, it was HER. I stopped breathing for a second as I saw her in a black saree. She was looking mesmerizing. As I looked at her in the black saree, I couldn't help but admire how elegant she looked. The way the saree hugged her curves and flowed around her made her even more beautiful. Our eyes met and I could see embarrassment in her eyes. She mumbled "sorry" in her sweet voice and walked away looking down.

I was so lost in her that I kept staring at her. "She's cute na?", Rudra came near me and whispered in my ears.

"She is the most beautiful creation of God I've ever seen.", I replied absent mindedly as my attention was consumed by her.

"Ohmygod, Akshat Singhania is in love??", Rudra asked excitingly.

I came back to my senses as soon as I heard this and turned towards him. I rolled my eyes and said him to focus on work.

"Her name is Sarah, Sarah Khemani.", he said to me mockingly and stormed off.

"My Sarah.", I whispered to myself while looking at her.

🌻

I couldn't help but look at her. My heart was stolen. I don't know what this girl is doing to me. I want to be with her. This girl is messing up with my mind. I've tried many ways to get her out of my head but she's something different. I've never been attracted to anyone in my whole life. This feeling of mine towards her, is totally different and new.

I was looking at her the whole time and I know she noticed it, as she also stole some glances. Her face was filled with confusion. I was scared for a moment that she might think of me as some creep so I walked to the other side of the hall. I was still able to see her but she wasn't able to notice it this time. I saw her walking towards the garden and thousands of thoughts filled my mind, of which one them was that I should go and talk to her. I went to the garden after attending a call. I saw her near a bunch a white roses, trying to pluck one.

"Sarah? Hey.", I called out. As she was trying to turn back, her leg got stuck in her saree and she was going to fall. I lunged towards her grabbing her arm and pulling her into my arms, before she could hit the ground.

Our eyes met and I could sense fear in her eyes. She hugged me back and thanked me. I could smell her. It was LAVENDER again. For a moment, my heart raced. She hugged me! Ohmygod!

She broke the hug and adjusted her saree while I was looking at her.

"Hey, Akshat." she said, bringing me back to reality.

"What are you doing out here?", I asked her trying to initiate a conversation.

"I was just getting bored inside as I'm not used to business parties, so I thought of stargazing.", she replied in a sweet voice, her eyes stuck at the white rose.

"You want it?", I asked sensing her eye movement.

"Huh?", she murmured confusingly.

"The rose", I said pointing towards the bunch of roses.

"Yeah, they're my favourite since I was a child.", she replied excitedly. I walked towards the bunch of roses and plucked out one, giving it to her. She seemed happy. I love her smile, her dimples.

We both sat on the grass and we were so close that our shoulders brushed. She was looking at the stars while I was looking at her.

"What? Why are you looking at me like this?", she asked with a chuckle.

"You're beautiful", I replied and she smiled. We both sat there admiring the stars in silence. Suddenly, I felt some weight on my shoulder. I looked to my left and saw that she fell asleep. I removed some hair from her face tucking it behind her ears and caressed her cheeks.

🌻

She was asleep for a while and I tried my best not to wake up her while I admired her. Her phone's ring broke the silence and she woke up hearing the sound. It was her mom. She answered the call and started talking. I could understand by her replies that she was leaving. She looked up at me and smiled. That beautiful smile will be the death of me someday for sure.

"Thankyou for the rose and for letting me rest my head on you shoulder.", she said to me and left hurriedly. I watched her as she disappeared.
