Author's POV
Two months had passed since Sarah and Akshat's reunion, but as their lives became consumed with the demands of their respective businesses, their relationship began to suffer. Long days spent managing their companies left little time for communication, and soon, they found themselves drifting apart.
Frequent arguments arose as frustrations mounted, exacerbated by the distance that now seemed to stretch endlessly between them. Despite their best efforts to maintain their connection, Sarah and Akshat found themselves growing more distant with each passing day.
One evening, amidst the chaos of preparations for a business party, Sarah's assistant inadvertently extended an invitation to Akshat without Sarah's knowledge. Unaware of his presence on the guest list, Sarah was taken aback when she saw Akshat arrive at the event.
Overwhelmed by a flood of emotions and memories, Sarah felt herself crumbling under the weight of it all. Unable to contain her emotions any longer, she slipped away from the crowded hall and sought solace in the tranquility of the garden.
Alone amidst the rustling leaves and fragrant blooms, Sarah allowed herself to succumb to the tears that had been threatening to spill for weeks. But just as she reached her breaking point, a familiar presence appeared beside her.
Turning to see Akshat standing there, concern etched on his face, Sarah's heart clenched with a mixture of longing and regret. Before she could utter a word, Akshat gently placed a hand on her shoulder and pulled her into a comforting embrace.
In that moment, as Sarah buried her face in Akshat's chest, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. For the first time in what felt like ages, she allowed herself to be vulnerable, to let go of the walls she had built around her heart.
And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Sarah and Akshat found themselves confronting the truth that had been lingering between them all along – their love was worth fighting for.
With tear-stained cheeks and trembling hands, Sarah looked up at Akshat, her eyes searching his for reassurance. And in that moment, she saw it – unwavering devotion, unwavering commitment.
Taking a deep breath, Akshat reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Opening it to reveal a glistening diamond ring, he gazed into Sarah's eyes with unwavering certainty.
"Sarah," he began, his voice barely above a whisper, "I know we've been through our fair share of ups and downs, but through it all, one thing has remained constant – my love for you."
Sarah's breath caught in her throat as she listened to Akshat's words, her heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and hope.
"And so," Akshat continued, sinking to one knee before her, "I want to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much you mean to me. My Sunshine, will you marry me?"
Tears of joy streamed down Sarah's face as she nodded, her voice choked with emotion. "Yes, Aksh. Yes, a thousand times yes."
With a radiant smile, Akshat slipped the ring onto Sarah's finger, sealing their love with a promise that would last a lifetime.
And as they stood there, surrounded by the beauty of the garden and the echoes of their love, Sarah and Akshat knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together – hand in hand, heart to heart, forever and always.
