I think my body is falling in pieces

" Y/N! Look at me y/n! "

A voice echoed, the fighting still went on the background. Someone held onto her, her vision was blurry and she couldn't see. What happened?
She tried to move, she wanted to touch something she wanted to know where she is. " y/n your okay, everything will be okay "
Why is he saying that? What's wrong? A dark blurry figure was above her, she could just make out the two tall ears of her love. " h...husk...? " her voice was raspy, why was she so tired? " yes, yes it's me. Stay with me "
She wants to, but her eye lids just feel so heavy. Maybe a small nap wouldn't hurt her.

" she should be fine, everything else is in good condition "

It was bright, voices were still an echo. Where was she now? Everything was so white, so bright it hurt her eyes. She wanted to keep them closed but voices kept her awake. Someone must have seen her try and open her eyes, rushing over to her she felt fur on her face. She felt the warm paws of husk. She knew it was him.
Everything started to make sense again, her vision was more clear and she could make out the details of husks face. " y/n, everything is okay I'm here "
His thumb softly touched her cheek, rubbing it softly while he smiled brightly at the woman. " what... where am I? " her throat was sore and dry making her words course and raspy. Husk still smiled at her voice, glad to see her doing well.
Charlie peeked around his shoulder, smiling at y/n and went to hold her hand.

" I convinced my dad to find a good doctor for you, your at the hospital "
Charlie spoke softly, y/n could then see the others behind her. Then it hit her, the hospital? What was she doing here? " what... why? " she shuffled up, getting a better view of the room. Everything seemed fine with her, she had a slight headache and some small scratches but that wasn't enough for the hospital.

Charlie looked at her guilty, her hand gripping onto hers tightly. Her eyes drifted over to her other hand on the side of her body, y/n was confused as she did. " in the battle, with the two angels they... "

And then she understood. Looking at her hand she saw bandages. And only 3 fingers. Why didn't she feel that before? Why did it feel like she still had all 5? Y/n just stared at her hand, flexing her stiff fingers felt strange. But that wasn't all, she felt oddly off balance. Even though she was sitting down.
" that's not all, I'm so sorry y/n. They got your tail too "
Charlie gave her good hand another squeeze, already seeing her upset about her hand she didn't want to see how she looked over seeing her tail. Y/n didn't know how to feel, looking down to the side of her seeing only about half of her tail left. The fluff off the end was gone, the end was wrapped in bandages. Her tail was like a cats, it helped her balanced and now without most of it she didn't know how to feel.

All of this was too quick, the white room was overwhelming somehow and her phantom tail and fingers stressed her out. She wanted to go home.

" this will have to do for now, the hotel is still being built. "
Husk had his arms around y/n, having almost no tail affected her walking and made her wobbly a bit. She still had the splitting headache that was from when she hit the ground after being hit from the front and back by angels. She had bandages everywhere, she felt ugly.

Husk closed the door behind the two, Charlie paid for all the sinners to have a room at a motel. Husk stayed with y/n for obvious reasons. He set the woman on the bed before going to find her a cup of water. She was very quiet on the way to the motel, only answering by shaking or nodding her head. On rare occasions she would speak a word or two.
Husk was worried.

He hadn't had a single drink since the battle and it was killing him, so while finding some water for y/n he got him self a bottle of beer from the small mini fridge. He wouldn't have it normally but it was his only option now. Y/n was still sat where she was placed, her fine hand was playing with the fabric of her bottoms. She couldn't bring her self to move her other hand.
" I'm just glad your still here "

The bartender sat down softly, his body shuffling close to the woman's. He held out the water for her to take, a smile never left while he spoke to her. He didn't lie, he was over joyed that she was still alive. Her flat antennae rose up a little, listening to the man's words.
" I don't care how you look, but if you really want I'm sure we can find someone who makes prosthetics "

He tried to lift her spirits, but he knew it would take her some time to come around to the idea. She simply nodded, the same way she had answer any other question for the past few days. Husk opened his beer with a swift flick of his claw, taking a gulp before placing it on the bed side table.
" come here, I know you like a good hug "

Husk smirked as he gently took her hand into his, leaning back in the bed and guiding y/n onto his chest. He wasn't surprised to see her almost melt into his fur, despite everything that happened this hadn't changed. Husk spread his wings out with a yawn before placing them around the tired woman in his arms. He wanted to protect her, he couldn't on that battle field but here he can.
" I'm sorry I couldn't protect you "

He put his face into her hair, smelling her perfume that he help put on. His grasp grew tighter, not wanting to let her go. She twisted and shuffled a little on his chest, the movement making him lift his head again. Her E/C eyes gazed into his, feeling safe once again she smiled softly.

Only one flower bloomed that night, a small daisy like the one the night she first saw them.
