• A not so hard day •

" Why hello my dear! "

A totally innocent looking sir pentious stood outside the hotel, however before he could say anything else Vaggie took a quick punch to his head.
While he was distracted with covering his face she also took out her spear and made sure to point it close to his face. I cover my mouth to stop a small giggle, another hand picked up my glass as I took a small sip after controlling my laughter.
" wait! Wait! Wait! "
A thud is heard soon after, I lean back in the chair by the bar to look at sir pentious who is now on the floor with Vaggie standing over him. He holds up his hands as he stares at the spear at his chest, " I come in peace! " the last word lead off into a slither as he held up two fingers, I slightly cringe at this probably middle aged man doing a peace sign.
" what are you doing here? "
Vaggie glared down at him, her grip strong on the spear. I watch as Charlie finally gets up off the couch and walks towards Vaggie at the door.
" Vaggie what's the problem? "
Although soon she found out, she gasped when she saw sir pentious on the floor. " hello again! " she smiled sweetly with a wave, I couldn't see much from where I sat however she seemed optimistic and friendly towards a demon who just made a hole in her hotel wall.
" is he that desperate for Alastor? "
I turned towards husk, he obviously had no interest in what's going on as he places cups on the shelf under the bar. " huh, what? " his head appeared from behind the bar, he hadn't had a clue what was happening outside. I sigh and roll my eyes light heartedly with a small smirk and stood up to go a little closer to the door, just to get a better view of what's going on.
As I looked down the hall again I saw Angel blocking the door from Charlie and sir pentious from entering. Was he trying to get better?
" are you fucking nuts? "
Angels hand was on his forehead, he looked up and glared at sir pentious before pointing harshly at him.
" this chump was trying to kill us like, literally 6 hours ago! "
I finally reach beside Angel and look cautiously at sir pentious. " he's right, are you sure about bringing him in here? To live with us? " my hands make their way to my hips and face, looking at Charlie confused at her way of thinking. I understand trying to make demons better but really? He admitted to wanting to take down Alastor and be powerful.
" I'm absolutely sure! "
She smiled wide like always, she stood in front of sir pentious with a hand pointing at him. " this place is about second chances, and who deserves one more than this... " sir pentious smiles and nods his head, Charlie rolls her wrists trying to think of ways to describe the demon.
" slithery... slippery....special little man " she dragged out her s's for more of a snake feeling, she turned to look at sir pentious again with her iconic smile. Angel shakes his head and looks over at Vaggie. " aren't you're suppose to protect this place? "
However I can see how Charlie gives her massive puppy eyes, I softly smile at the two's relationship as Vaggie sighs. I can tell she's given in to Charlie's antic. " I guess he's not much of a threat without the war machine "
She walks towards us and as she passes sir pentious he smiles and his ' hood ' neck thing flaps out happily, which quickly flattens again when Vaggie speaks up again.
" or even with the war machine.. "
I perk up as Charlie suddenly runs over to Vaggie and embarrasses her in a bear huh, lifting her up the ground and spinning her around as she thanks her over and over. " sir pentious! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel! "
She points up to the hotel before walking back to the door again, sir pentious soon following her. " oh no darling! Thank you. You want regret this "
They both walk in leaving me and Angel by the door. I sigh and shake my head slowly, pulling out my phone to look at the time. I spread my wings to stretch them as I reach my arms over my head, walking in after the two and head towards the bar swiftly to get my work bag that I left.
" where are you of to? " husks grubby voice makes me look up, he has his usual bottle of booze in his hands as he leans against the bar on the other side.
" some of us actually work some place else "
I smirk at him with a small wink, swinging my bag around my shoulder and waving at him before walking out the door.

I hear a whistle as someone calls ' waitress ', the restaurant was full and I was rushing around. It was getting late and there was more people getting drunk. I stop where I was going and turn around to face 4 men in a booth. I sigh and cover it up with a smile, making my way over to them I can tell by the look on their faces and the mass amount of bottles that they should be leaving soon. " can we get the bill please? " The one man smirks and looks me up and down, another one leaned back in his chair and also studied my body with a dirty look.
I cough and my tail starts to wave a little, " yes of course, I'll be right back " my smile quickly fades when I turn away, the men's chatter can be heard behind me and I feel their eyes burn into my back.
I quickly get the bill from the kitchen and make my way back, dropping off a few drinks just to get some more work done.
" here is your check, i hope you've enjoyed your stay "
The one man on the side grabbed a bill from his wallet, however instead of placing it by the check on the table he reached over to me and placed it in the white apron that sat around my waist, I shiver in disgust and discomfort as I feel his sharp fingers linger on my hips for a moment.
My eye twitches as I quickly turn around and head back Into the kitchen, my tail whips around furiously as I take out the bill from my wait band. I unfold it and see quite a large tip, the money didn't make me feel that much better however.

" here's your lighter "
I had finished work and went straight to the bar when I got back to the hotel, everyone had fell back asleep and I see there's no more damage caused by sir pentious so I guess his first day went well. I didn't go for the drink however, on the way to the hotel I had picked up my self a new lighter while remembering I still had husks.
I sat with my head in my hands, a huff escaped my mouth as I finally relax after the long shift. I watch husk as he looks at the lighter but doesn't seem to reach out, he takes another swig of his booze and turned around to grab a glass. " keep it, I don't smoke usually "
I watch as he fills the cup with ice, I stare at the back of his head and soon at his wings. Admiring the detail on them and the colours that mix well, I reach my arm out to grab the lighter again. " thank you " I smile at him even though his back was turned to me, he pours water into the glass and slides it over to me. I look at him confused for a moment, did I ask for water? " you look like you've had a hard night " he chuckles at my appearance, I didn't notice how my hair was messy from the rushing and the little makeup I had on was smudged.
My eyes roll light hearted as I take a small sip of the water, I didn't know how thirsty I'd be until now. " thank you, again. Not for the compliment tho " my fingers tap on the glass nervously, I've had conversations with husk before just not that long. It's always just been over a drink, he must have had a few drinks because he wasn't as grumpy as normal.
There was a comforting silence as I scroll on my phone, taking small sips from my water and husk reads the daily newspaper while taking occasional mouth fulls of his booze.
Maybe today wasn't that bad.
