Bronya:

"How do I get the IPC to back off Jairo VII..." Topaz sighed and ran a hand through her short hair. I shrugged and tapped my finger on my temple. She snorted and continued pacing around my office, her nerves all over the place. Numby was snoozing away cosily on an armchair that looked comfortable.

"Topaz, you don't need to worry about that all day, okay? I'm already grateful that you gave up a rank for the sake of Belobog." It was true though. Topaz sacrificed a lot just to save our planet. Our home.

"Yeah, but it's just so annoying. Even though the IPC did save my homeland, that doesn't mean every single planet needs to be saved..." After helping us fend off the IPC, Topaz and I grew a lot closer, so her cold demeanour has dissipated already. It's nice, having some friends from the outer space, where everything's unknown.

Knock knock.

I looked at the silvermane guard standing next to the door. I nodded so he could let the guest in. Standing embarrassingly in front of the door is the purple airhead I've learnt to love.

"Seele?" I quirked a smile, my heart fluttering a little. "You're a bit late today." Seele normally comes after lunchtime and it's way past noon. I searched her face, only to find her glaring at Topaz angrily. Is my little Seele jealous...?

"Don't worry, Seele. I'll back off. I'm perfectly fine living my love life with Numby." I swore my cheeks pinkened when Topaz winked at me with that knowing look. She summoned Numby and left my office with an IPC guard.

"Why is that IPC brat always here, talking to you?!" I watched as Seele fumed when she walked towards me. My gaze wandered towards her hand, which clutched something. Flowers...? My eyes widened when I realized what type of flower it is. I covered my mouth to prevent the gasp from escaping me. Ball peonies.

"Anyways, this... Is for you..." I glanced at Seele, trying to gauge what's her purpose. Ball peonies, symbolizing eternity and undying love. I hesitantly wrapped my fingers around the beautiful bouquet, my stomach warming instantly when our hands touched.

"Thank you." I looked at these pinkish flowers, wetness gathering in my eyes. This is the first time someone gave me flowers... Seele cupped her hands around my cheeks, and all my resistance melted away. I gently put down the bouquet of peonies, and all of a sudden, Seele's mouth crashed against mine. I closed my eyes and used my tongue to tease Seele's mouth open. The sweet taste of blueberries exploded in my mouth, and I groaned when Seele climbed on top of the desk.

"I love you, Bronya." Seele's hoarse voice reached my ears as we panted, my arms still wrapped around her torso.

"I love you too, Seele."
