I can't believe it... I stared at the interface in front of me with Seele beside me. Bup. Bup. My heart started to pump faster and faster. Do I really have to do this...? Won't this endanger the citizens of Belobog and the underworld?
"Bron, trust me, it's worth it ok?" I looked at Seele's slanted but reassuring indigo eyes. "Pela is basically never wrong. The chances of this to fail is very very slim." She reached for my hand and starts to rub her thumb against my gloved palm. "Fainka did it and it ended very well for them. Just look at me and take deep breaths."
I inhaled and exhaled. One breath. Two breaths. Three breaths.
"C-can we press it together...?" Seele nodded and grabbed my index finger that's inching towards the interface little by little. I stared at the contact info in front of me. Kafka. The infamous stellaron hunters who's intentions are still unknown.
"C'mon. Five. Four. Three. Two. One." Seele gave our hands a little push and my finger pressed HOLOGRAM CALL. My mind raced with all the possibilities as my ears only listened to the silent roar of my heartbeat. Seele was close to me, her arms wrapped around my waist, her head rested on my shoulders to anchor me.
Dialing... Waiting for pick up...
"Will the stellaron hunters even reply...?" I looked at my gloves that sticked to my hands like a second layer of skin due to me nervously sweating.
"Well well. Look who we have here~?" A bluish hologram appeared in front of me that outlined Kafka's silhouette, an umbrella in her hands. Is it just an accessory for her...?
"Kafka." I nodded at her and put on my mask of calmness. I knew Seele would jump in when it's needed and that soothed me a little bit. "I would like to acquire the stellaron hunters' help. In return, Jairo VII will return the favour if needed." I crossed my arms across my chest to muffle the noise of my heart pumping.
"And why, exactly, would the stellaron hunters need help?" I clenched my hands, not knowing the answer to that.
"Don't be so cocky!" Seele launched herself at the hologram and growled angrily. I immediately pulled her back.
"Calm down..." I whispered in Seele's ears.
"Looks like we got a feisty little hot head here, hmm?~" Kafka smirked and walked towards us in the hologram. This time it was me who's blood boiled. Nobody talks to Seele like that...!
Shhh... You need the stellarons hunters' help to establish your relationship... I gulped down my anger and looked at Kafka once again. Thank the aeons for that small voice in my head.
"What should we do in order to get your assistance then...?" My voice was foreign to me at this point. I still felt Seele's silent fuming behind me.
"Hmmm... This isn't in Elio's script. I'll do this as a personal offer then, hmm?~" Kafka tilted her head as she looked at us. "Let's see... Solving relationship problems is very troubling and a hassle..." I stared at her eyes that could seduce anyone. "How about letting me access to Belobog whenever I want to~? That also applies to the visitors I bring."
"Limit the visitors to maximum 2 people. Is that okay...?" There was some unease in my chest building. This deal seemed a little bit too good to be true. What would the stellaron hunters want to do on Belobog anyways...? I started to get dizzy as I thought about stellarons. 'Mom'...
"I'll be going to Belobog soon then. Nice working with you, supreme guardian." With that, the hologram disappeared and so was the interface.
"Bron, that woman was so annoying." I chuckled a little and let my nerves loose when I looked at Seele's pout.
"It is what it is, my purple airhead."
