aera was scared. scratch that, she was terrified.
the moment nana brought her through a door she hadn't realized existed and pulled a large tarp off of what she then realized was a car she knew she was doomed.
in cupidiea they had cars. aera was actually a very excellent driver. but the thing was, they didn't really need the cars because you know, wings and stuff. so although aera knew full and well how to drive a car (although she wasn't too sure about how old this one looked) she wasn't exactly used to it.
and of course nana was more than elated to gift her her drivers license (how and where she got it she has no idea) and tell her that aera would be getting them to and from school every day.
of course she held out from telling them this until the morning of their first day when aera was half asleep with hair curlers in and her outfit half put together.
soon enough they were happily set on the road. well more like they were praying to the gods the entire time, soyeong holding the handle bar above him the tightest he could while aera kept both hands on the wheel.
"did she say take a right or a left?"
"left and then a right and then straight." soyeong was quick to inform, his eyes jittery as he watched the road closely as if he was the one driving."left, right, straight. got it." she smiled, turning on what she thought was her her blinker. that was until soyeong made a noise of distress, shaking his head profusely.
"that's the wrong blinker."
"oh shoot."
"those are the windshield wipers!"
"oh my gods."
"duck!" he called out, and immediately aera ducked her head, earning a look from the younger."not you duck! a duck! in the road!" he sighed exasperatedly, rubbing a hand across his face. "gods i got partnered with an airhead." he muttered.
and after a few trials and errors on the functions of the car, they were finally pulling into the parking lot of the school which by the way was crawling with students who were leaving their cars or even just hanging out with their friends at their cars.
"i don't like earth. i don't like it and ill never understand it and i want to go home," aera decided, muttering to herself as she pulled into a random spot. "this is so stupid and humans are scary and im gonna throw up oh my gods." she rambled, holding her chest and breathing out after putting the car in park.
it didn't help that in the next few seconds there was a loud knock on the window, revealing the happy face of choi yeonjun. his beautiful face didn't stop her from nearly jumping out of her seat and screaming though, earning a groan from soyeong who immediately pushed his door open and practically jumped out of the car.
"sorry, did i scare you?" yeonjun chuckled as she opened her door. "i saw nanas car and thought id come over and stick to you guys now so i don't have to worry about searching for you later." he explained, stepping back so she could step out of her seat and pat her uniform skirt down.
