aera sighed happily as she danced through her room, placing her new pink decorations nana had gotten her from her shop here and there. her room at nanas was slowly but surely becoming her own space, the quaint pink aesthetic it had taken on mirroring her personality perfectly.
"what's got you all bright and happy?" soyeong voiced as he leaned on the door frame of her room, arms crossed with a brow arched. "well, more than usual." he snorted.
"oh nothing," aera beamed, moving towards her bed to grab the large bundle of string lights and hand it to soyeong, telepathically telling him he had to help her. "just happy i found my couple so quickly." she hummed, turning back to tend to her little vintage vanity nana made yeonjun move into her room when he had come to pick soyeong up for volleyball tryouts.
the blondes brows shot up in surprise. "you.... you found your couple?" he coughed out, stumbling his way to her bed to sit down.
"didn't expect to find them so soon but i'm almost certain i know what i have to do now," she giggled as she moved to lean on the white frame of the bed next to the boy. "any luck with you?" she quirked a brow.
"no," he answered gruffly. "didn't socialize quite as much as you did, little dove." he murmured, beginning to untangle the string lights. aera frowned down at the boy, a feeling of guilt washing over her body.
maybe she shouldn't have been so quick to boast that she found her one way ticket out of this place so quickly.
"i'm sure you'll find yours soon, i'll even help you!" she exclaimed, earning an unamused look from the younger. "oh come on! it'll be fun. i'll help you and you can most certainly help me." she jumped up to sit on her knees on the bed next to the boy.
"how the hell am i supposed to help you?" he gave her a look, brows furrowed. there was a glint in aeras eyes that soyeong didn't seem to like, his lip curling up as he shot her a stern look. "thanks, but no thanks, little dove. i'd rather not get tangled up in two messy romances." he grumbled, his fingers working a bit more harshly to untangle the lights.
"come on, yeongie! then we could finish at the same time so one of us isn't left behind here alone!" aera whined, pulling at his arm. the blonde only shook her off, ignoring her attempts at convincing her.
"oh for fucks sake!" he hissed, snapping his fingers over the lights and watching as they untangled themselves with a soft pink glow before lifting into the air and hanging themselves along the cream colored walls of the girls room.
aera only shook her head at the boys frustrated outburst, letting out a little giggle before moving to stand back up from the bed and move towards her desk again.
"my couples surprising, actually. ayame and that soobin kid from your team," she hummed, opening one of her pink journals to an empty page to begin writing. "what an odd pair." she said, more to herself than to anyone else, jotting down their names in pink ink.
