After what happened at the Jell-O castle, I headed back to the van. A dazed (but blissful) look on my face along with a dreamy smile. Heading inside, I rubbed my face as I remembered seeing Flint's face clearly for the first time.

"It seems like you had fun," she heard Sam comment. I glanced over to Sam, whose eyes widened when she spotted the former's glasses. "You're wearing your glasses..."

I blushed, twirling a piece of her hair. "Yeah... I told Flint about why I stopped being my science-y inventive self. And he encouraged me to be myself again," I explained.

"I knew it! I knew he was different from Tom," Sam grinned. "What did you guys do exactly?"

"Flint made this ginormous Jell-O Castle, with an entire hall inside. It was incredible, and we had so much fun. And we may have..." I excitedly explained before I trailed off.

Sam gasped, shocked. "You guys kissed?"

"No, no. Of course," I felt myself blush. "We almost did, I admit that. But Flint's phone rang just as our lips grazed,"

She groaned in disappointment. "Oh, come on. It was so close. I thought today would be today,"

"You bet on that?" I asked, sitting down on a chair.

"Kinda... It was pretty obvious," Sam replied, shrugging in response.

"Sometimes I can't understand your mind," I commented.

"Me neither, but I support you," Sam gave a thumbs up.

Just then, I remember something important. "Oh shoot! I totally forgot that I was going to make the menu for tomorrow,"

"And you didn't remember until now?" Sam questioned.

"I was kinda busy all day, as you can see. It's fine. I'm gonna go finish it, I'll be back in a couple of hours," I told her before I left the van.

"Alright, be careful!" I heard Sam call out to me.

After heading back to the lab to change my shirt, I called my dad to meet me since I wanted to take him to dinner, to tell him about what the Mayor had offered me.

Running down the street, I spotted my dad in front of the Bib shop, adjusting a tie. "Dad, you came! I had the best day I have so much to tell you!" I yelled excitedly.

"Do I look alright?" he asked just as I grabbed his arm.

"You look great, come on let's go!" I dragged him down the street toward the restaurant called The Roofless I booked a table.

As we got closer, I explained my day to him, walking past the line of people. "Oh, it was so cool, I almost kissed a Babs, it was the coolest thing ever-" I paused when a couple of people started greeting them. "Hey. How's it going?"

Getting to the front of the line, I noticed Baby Brent arguing with the bouncer, Brian. "It's Baby Brent. You know? 'Uh oh!' I should be on the list!"

"Hey, Brian," I greeted with a wave. Brian nodded to me, letting Dad and I enter.

"WHAAAT?!?! You're letting that guy in? That guy's a nerd!!" I heard Baby Brent shout from behind me, but I didn't let it bother me.

The door closed behind us and a waiter led us to the table. Steaks rained in from above as people around us dug into them, some of them thanking and greeting me. "Hey, Flint Lockwood!" someone called.
