It was a long trip back home (where Nate's old home was), and as promised, Martin did stop every now and then to eat, much to the kid's delight, and Nate and Ellen slept for most of the trip. And after finally reaching their location Martin stirred his kids awake, who immediately became excited as they recognized where they were at.

And as the Wright family reached for their old house (which was still for sale) the family unpacked all their stuff as Nate noticed Francis getting his attention from the window (they were still neighbors of course), and waved a HUGE hello to his old best friend. And in no time, Francis contacted the rest of the friend group and told them that Nate returned.

And as everything and everyone was settled in...

"Hey, look! A crowd!" Martin said, smiling.

Nate and Ellen turned and opened the curtain and saw Nate's old friends waving a huge sign that read:

WELCOME BACK, NATE WRIGHT!

Nate was excited, so was Ellen, even though the sign wasn't for her either. Then she saw out of the corner of her eye, she saw her boyfriend Gordie, and in no time, Ellen burst out the door, ran for her boyfriend and gave him a great big bear hug while Nate gave his old friends a group hug.

"OH MY GOD! I can't believe you came back! It's a dream come true!" Dee Dee exclaimed in excitement.

Ruby jumped in too.

"Didn't I tell you I would find you?" she asked, pressing her lips onto Nate's in a romantic kiss. And after a brief moment, Nate responded:

"I did come back too, does that count for something?" he asked.

"Though I take it you had to leave behind your friends from California?" Teddy asked frowning, souring the mood that everyone is now in.

"Yeah," Nate replied sadly.

"Oh, the sorrow! Oh, the heartbreak!" Dee Dee wailed out in heartbreak, knowing she couldn't see Samuel again in person.

Nate managed to cheer Dee Dee up by saying he would keep in touch with Samuel and DJ, not to mention he would help Dee Dee find Samuel, mirroring Ruby setting out to find Nate when he had to move.

Francis changed the mood again. "Shall we celebrate?"

Everyone cheered in agreement.

And so the group headed out for ice cream and Nate, in an honest manner, actually wrote a Ultra-Nate comic that depicted Ultra Nate saving everybody from Gina and PEACE though not taking shots at anyone else. And afterwards everyone headed home since it was sunset.

A few days later...

After school (to which Nate greeted all of his old friends and teachers such as Mrs. Czerwicki) and as the sun became bright in the sky, Nate had grabbed an old lunchbox he got from kindergarten headed out to the woods. With a shovel in hand, he digs a hole. before putting his lunch box in the hole, he puts a photo inside it. Nate's friends came behind the boy.

"What are you doing, Nate?" Jenny asked.

"Pretending to be dead so Kim can't catch you again?" Teddy joked before Francis flicked his ear.

"Nah. Just making a time capsule," Nate replied, throwing the capsule into the hole. "Although it might be hard to forget about this whole disaster, it's still very memorable for the right reasons. I'm going to grow up one day. All these adventures we had are worth recognizing. The time we beat Jefferson on the Mud Bowl and Snowdown, my good luck streak, my seven detention record, the Fleeceball sport win, the Timber Scout contest, the scavenger hunt, beating the 7th graders, those were good times." The boy continued as he buried dirt in the hole with his shovel.
