"My name is Concenta Canali, I come in peace Chief Mato. Notwithstanding to your knowledge, I came here for one purpose and one purpose only and that is to get in contact with your newly acquired ruler, Aurelo Cpachie."

The two warriors beside me sharpens up immediately as I said the name, they drew into a fighting stance but I calmly stared right into the eyes of Mato, not showing him weakness.

He lifts a hand to halt the warriors, the raven bird which was on his shoulder, spread its wings apart, it's blue eyes set on me.

"I'm listening."

From the corner of my eyes, I didn't missed Aureliano posture that was wickedly tense since my appearance. He didn't have to worry, I'll not ruin his reputation by informing them that I've been residing in his hut for a month now without their knowledge.

"I mean no harm." I reassured once again over the bustling voices of the crowd.

Mato cleared his throat and this ceased their uncomfortableness.

"With the profession of an explorer, Achille Aveni hired me to find his son who have been missing for the past twenty years."

Mato shift his eyes over to Aureliano who was busy burning the side of my face with his gaze, the brown-haired woman a comforting source as she held him close to her.

It annoyed me.

"Where have you been hiding for the past month?"

I lift my chin and watch as the raven hoist from Mato shoulder and flew towards me, Mato frowned as his bird settled over my shoulder, his commander and his people stunned for a moment.

To break the silence, I cleared my throat and answered. "Over the course of this mission, I lost a friend during a night storm, from thence I have been looking for her from that night. I have not been successful so I decided to track back the way here, seeing if I could get in contact with Aurelo Cpachie."

The lie eased off from my tongue smoothly as I locked eyes with the elder chief.

I could see it in his gaze, he did not trust me.

"I have no need to hurt your people..."

"Lies!"

"She came to kill our future chief, she deserve to be hanged upon the gallows!"

"She reeks destruction!"

"Silence!" Mato shouted and it shook the earth. "You are all dismissed, I will not have you all interrupting her every word. You will be further informed about this situation tomorrow, return back to your duties."

I listened as the crowd went away from the square, their muttering and chatting lessen as Mato regain back control.

Four sets of eyes were on me, the commander and the Don. I didn't know what their issue was but I needed their staring to stop.

"Now Miss. Concenta, I am not trustworthy towards outsiders, I have a feeling that you will bring trouble towards my people. As you can see from the voices of my people, we do not like conflict, yet I'm weighing my options because I have realized that Hunter has taken up a liking towards you..."

"Something that has never happened before to anyone."

"To be honest Chief, if I wanted to harm your people..." I widen my elbows out and with great force, I pulled both of my hands towards my ribcage and felt the ropes loosen a bit. I allowed the ropes to fall to the ground, my eyes set on the Mato as I freed my hands.

His eyebrows lifted as I lift both hands above my head.

"I could have killed your men the very moment they opened that cells to free me, once again I mean no harm."

The commander, Amerio, folded his arms across his large chest, I stared over at him and saw the smirk on his lips, his thumb tracing the sharp structure of his jawline.

"Very well, I would like to see you in private after this to ask you a few questions. On that account, now that you are our very first visitor in over hundred years, I will assign our commander, Amerio Cpachie as your bodyguard to watch you until my people are satisfy with your presence."

I didn't like the idea but what can I do? if I resist then this would have the elder feeling as if I am disrespectful to his tribal laws.

"If it makes you comfortable Chief, I agree." The raven bird that was on my shoulder which belonged to the elder chief pressed it's head into the side of my head. I didn't feel threaten about the bird so I stroke the nape of his neck to which put a smile on Mato lips.

"Mato can I have a word." Aureliano hissed and for the second time since my arrival, I battled with myself and snap my eyes over to him.

He still had the woman by his side, both of his hands were formed into a tight fist as his dark blue iris, oppressed into a shade darker than it naturally is. His white-blonde hair flows over them towards the slim straight structure of his nose.

Aureliano was angry and he showed me how much as he inflicted all that emotion right into my gaze.

"You will be staying with Amerio, so take this time to get settled in and then I'll see you after, yes?"

"No problem." I nodded.

Amerio walked over to me, a smirk on his lips. Just behind him I heard a loud crash but I ignored it as I craned my head back to stare up in his peculiar iris.

Hunter kawed loudly as Amerio came right into my personal space. "Hunter doesn't like me that much so I do not know how this is going to work."

"Deal with it hulk, Hunter is now my friend and I will choke you to death if you hurt him." I playfully warned Amerio who only huff.

He began walking before me and beckon for me to follow, I couldn't help it, I glanced over my shoulder and pressed my lips into a tight force as Aureliano intense heavy gaze trailed along with my every movement, he ignored both the woman and Mato who was talking to him, the protrusion in his neck drop up and down as his pecs tightens and flex with his anger.

I didn't know what his problem was...

He clearly made the decision for himself when he decided to ignored me for three days after kissing me and had the guts to flaunt his love life into my face.

Men. I scoffed.

What did he want me to do? kiss his ass.

Funny.

Hunter kawed once again at Amerio and he flicked the bird a middle finger. I thought the raven would some how go back to his owner but he didn't.

I smiled up at the black raven on my shoulder, my fingers still tracing his neck.
