The music and the commotion ended forty minutes ago, the lights on the river boat were out except for the moon that was now prominently shining in the middle of the dark skies and the lights that were coming from the kitchen.
I laid my back flat against the wooden wall on the lower deck of the corridor, a hand of mine was spread across the surface while my other hand was down at my side, holding onto the knife.
I sucked in the warmth of the nights air, kicking off both of the sandals that I had on underneath the railing, watching as they both skidded on the surface of the wooden floor and fell off the corner towards the dark waters just below it.
I didn't want to alert the various voices that were coming from the kitchen from my walking, hence I decided to sneak up on them barefooted. Unnoticed.
My goal was to find my father. His existence ends tonight.
Amerio left me a few minutes ago to help with my kill as he dived into the river to disrupt the boat's engine which was located just underneath the water so that it could sink.
I had approximately thirty minutes to make my move until the boat sink.
The Russians had no way out of this.
They will die by my knife or drown. Either way, death wins.
We didn't want them to sail away when they notice that they were defenseless hence if it caused me to drown while bringing revenge, I will die a happy woman.
At least my mother's death will be honorable.
Taking a step on the tip of my toes, I adjust my eyes to the darkness. Holding my breath while I took another step forward, I turn my head to the side and rest my cheeks on the walls as I stared around the corner.
Soft lighting from the kitchen, lined the floors on the deck, various shadows motioned through the lights and I tightened my fingers on the knife, forwarding on silent steps towards the open door while making sure that the lights from the kitchen did not flooded my frame as I drew closer.
"Boss wants us to leave now so pack up all those shit and let's get on the boat." A deep voice of a male warned and I took that as my chance to move.
The light switched for the kitchen was just above my head so I lift a hand, flicked the switched off and smirked from the multiple foot steps that resounded through the room from the sudden lack of lights.
"What the fuck dude, don't play around like that."
"What? I didn't do anything!"
"Turn the lights back on."
I walked through the entrance of the open space, watching the six men who were sitting around the island. They were unknown to my appearance because they were too busy quarreling about the lights.
A loud noise echoed from the bottom of the ship then as I took a step forward, it tilted my footing off a bit and this eventually brought their attention to me.
They all stood in awareness, slipping out their guns in defense but before I allowed them to react, I ran in full speed towards the man before me.
Bending down, I drove the knife into his abdomen, then turn my back towards his crouching front while extending out a leg between the legs of the other guard who came up beside him.
He tripped and fell to the ground and I withdrew my knife from the guard's abdomen behind me, relishing in the amount of blood that slaps across my face.
I wanted to do this silently, without alerting Arseni.
I wanted his protection to be weaker by the time I was done with every guard on this boat.
