Death is inevitable.

A force of nature that cannot be avoided nor can you run from it's smirking will. It's a dark glooming cessation that awaits within it's space, searching for it's next victim who cannot escaped, nor will it erase the spell it inflicted.

I have seen death, tasted it with my tongue. The darkness of it's nature drowned me for years as I witness the life-less eyes of my mother, it traveled with me from thence as I drew away the breath from my enemies, watching as they bled, enjoying each spurts of their regret against the muzzle of my gun.

Death means nothing when I ruthlessly buried it into my enemies, It mean's nothing when I press my fingers on the trigger, licking up the screams that my enemies cry...but when it happens to someone close.

Some person who shared memories that will never be forgotten. It hurts.

It dropped droplets, the salty tears rolled down each side of my cheeks then to my lips, I folded them as I kneeled above Halisa's frame.

"How did this happened?" I asked over the rain to Issi who resisted the arms of the warriors who wanted to carry the dead body away from the rain.

"I don't know..." She eased up from the body, her eyes red as she shook. Her curly brown hair sticking to her face with the falling rain.

"I went to checked up on father when a warrior came to informed us of her death. I don't know...I don't know." She shook and my eyes soften at her brokenness.

Standing on trembling knees, my mind drifted to Amerio. I searched around the crowd, looking out for him but he wasn't seen.

I should have trusted my fucking gut.

Why was I surprise that the fucker betrayed us.

I gritted my teeth in anger, the blood in my system pumping as I looked around the tribe through my wet curls which swayed around my face, I narrowed my eyes as a few warriors ran towards us, I took in their panic state and in slow motion, I tried to make out their words as they yell.

Their lips moved slowly as I tried to comprehend what had them so tense.

Taking a step forward, I tuned into my hearing, following my instinct as I realize that Halisa's death was a distraction.

"Issi go in now!" I yelled over my shoulder to her.

"Wha-"

"We are under attack!" The voices of the warrior screamed into the air as they directed the frighten crowd to hide.

"Move it..." I hissed through my teeth, straightening up in rage as behind the warriors, I took in the hundred or so men walking through the water fall with flash lights in their hands as they walked with purpose.

The crowd scattered as the warriors directed them out of the square, I slid out my knife from my waist, running around the crying women who begged for mercy as they ran away.

Each cry from them angered me even further that Amerio would harmed his people like this.

Aureliano's voice shouted in the air to the warriors who all geared up to fight.

Squeezing the handle of the knife, I ran towards a little baby boy who was before me, he was struggling to get away as he crawled on the mud with the chaotic crowd but didn't know what to do as he cried out for help, his body sliding back into the mud each time he tried to stand.

The rain slap against my back as I stoop to pick him up, the flash lights from our intruders flooded the square as they came nearer and I quickly took his hands in mine.

"Help, please." The little boy cried as he wrap his hands around my neck, I picked him up in my arms and carried him to the nearby clinic, I forcefully kick the door open and ushered him inside.

"Don't come out until I come back for you okay?" I said to his sobbing frame.

He nodded and for some reassuring peace, I smiled softly at him and banged the double doors shut behind me, I narrowed my eyes as I leaned my back against the wooden doors, my fingers still squeezing around the handle the longer these fuckers took to come.

The air was dark and cold, my chest heaved up and down as the rain patters on the roof top of the clinic.

The warriors stood in groups as they waited in patience for the intruders, Aureliano was standing in front of the men with his arms folded across his chest. His thick thighs were spread apart in a deadly mood as his hair stick towards his face, forming a dark shadow of his apparent anger that even I could feel from here.

His wide jawline clenched in sync with the thunder that rolled into the skies, His frame soaking with the intruder's flashlights as they drew closer to the square, their accent now clearer as I listened to each shouts that resounded over the rain.

The Russians.

Checking the handles of the clinic one last time, I turn and press my cheek on the door, telling the boy that I would come back as I tap my knuckles on the wooden door, my steps forwarding as I walked into the heavy rain.

I walked between each of the warriors, my goal was to get up to the front so that I can see the Russians face to face.

"Ahh, men look what we got here hah, the bonkers Aveni." The unfamiliar deep voiced boomed into the air, I lick my lips from the taste of the rain, my feet gliding through the mud the further I went.

"Twenty years after and you're still that weak little fucker. What? your daddy was too much to handle so you choose to stay and prey on this poor tribe's serenity."

I walked around the body of a warrior as I came up to the front. A muscular, red-headed man with light green eyes, stood before his men with his arms folded. His glare a heavy hatred towards a very quiet Aureliano.

Black clothing donned his muscle bound pale-skinned frame while a black beanie covered his red-hair which flowed down to his back.

His men chuckled with his words and I mapped out each of them, watching as they all walked further into the square to surround us.

"I didn't think I'd find you here when our spy gave us the coordinates to this..." The red-headed paused and glanced around the area in disgust. He scan each of us for a while then connected his light green gaze on me, interest swam there for a moment until he shift them back to Aureliano.

"Dumped of a place. You should have allowed those flames to kill you Aureliano, my boss will not stopped until you're dead and neither will I because now I come to rained death on your fucking pride."
