cersei never thought she could love anyone more than she loved jaime until her twins were born; josephine and joffrey. however, there was just something so special about her new little girl. cersei's entire world stopped the moment she looked into that precious girl's eyes. she was perfect and although she would be king robert's princess there was not one ounce of baratheon in her, she was all lannister.
as the years went on cersei realized that there was nothing she wouldn't do for her children, but she would commit the most heinous crimes if she knew it would protect josephine. it was clear to anyone and everyone that she was her mother's favorite, but she was also the king's favorite. jaime knew he could never be a true father to his children, so he vowed to be the best uncle he could. the children truly never paid him much mind and loved his as their uncle, but josephine accepted all of his love and returned it tenfold.
josephine become the realm's delight. the people loved her and all the seven kingdoms knew of her. by the time she bled suitors came from throughout the kingdoms vying for the princess's affections, but king robert turned them all away. no one was good enough for his baby.

josephine was sitting on her balcony sewing when she heard the bells ringing for the king's hand, jon arryn. he had been fine one minute and the next he was gone. it all happened so fast and she felt indifferent about it. on one hand she was a little emotional because she had known him for so long and on the other had she wasn't sad because she wasn't close to him.
there was a knock at her door and her mother walked in. "hello, my little dove" cersei said as she walked out onto the balcony.
"hello mother" josephine replied as she sat down in the seat across from her daughter. "how are you feeling, my darling?" she asked.
"i'm alright. i feel sad, but okay at the same time." josephine explained. she sat her sewing project on the table and looked at her mother. "i feel the same way." cersei replied. "i'm sure lady arryn hasn't taken well to the news?"
cersei shook her head in response, "she fled back to the eyrie rather quickly."
"hm some would say that's rather suspicious of her." josephine replied lifting her brow to her mother. "her timing does seem rather odd, but one cannot judge how another might grieve a loss." cersei shrugged. she had to choose her words carefully because she couldn't seem too excited about the hand's sudden death.
"tommen had another nightmare last night. he came bursting through my doors crying." she explained to her mother. "joffrey has been tormenting him yet again."
"have you ever thought that maybe it's because you baby him too much?" cersei laughed. "well, he is indeed my baby brother" her daughter replied putting an emphasis on the word baby. "plus it seems that i do the mothering of my younger siblings more than their actual mother"
"that is a role you gave yourself, my sweet. plus if i gave any of your siblings too much attention then i wouldn't be able to dote on you as much." josephine knew she was the favorite. it wasn't hard to tell and it wasn't going to change. that is why she doted on her younger siblings. to make sure they felt all the love and affection that she felt.
"it is a role that i enjoy to have in their life." josephine smiled. she has always loved babies and children. the thought of being a wife and mother one day made her very happy.
"you will make a wonderful mother, josephine. i hope one day soon. i don't want to be an old, wrinkly woman by the time you make me a grandmother." cersei and her daughter shared a laugh. "on another note, according to your father we are to leave for winterfell in the next day or two."
