I Got a Problem

The scenes currently taking place in The Leaky Cauldron were a far cry from the subtle, sweet, innocent scenes occurring in the front room of The Burrow.

George Weasley wasn't entirely sure where he was, who he was, or even which planet he was currently residing on.

He had begun the night with pure intentions, a few Firewhisky's with his brothers, maybe one little shot of liquor for good luck, and a nice early night, tucked up by ten, ready for what was set to be the biggest day of his life.

The night had not panned out this way.

He should have known, when he had allowed Lee Jordan to organise his Stag Do, that an 'early night' would never transpire.

He should have allowed Percy to do the planning, for they could have enjoyed an afternoon tea, or something equally as pleasant.

Instead, he found himself being held up by his ankles, by two people he believed to be Harry and Ron, but who realistically could be absolutely anybody. Alcohol was being poured into his mouth, people were cheering, and he could hardly see straight.

What had started out as a laid back evening had turned wild. George had lost count of the number of people in the room with him, but he was conscious of the fact that his father was currently teaching Hagrid how to play the Muggle game 'beer pong'.

As Harry and Ron placed George back upright, his mind wandered.

He had worried that he would spend the night upset, his mind pre-occupied with thoughts of the man he longed to be there with him, celebrating - but who couldn't.

He knew he had one person to thank for his ability to live his life to the fullest, in spite of what he was missing. And that person was his wife-to-be.

It felt so weird, still, to contemplate the fact he would have a wife. He didn't feel old enough, yet he felt like they had both gone through so much.

George had so much to thank Jenny for, and he was more than grateful that he was going to have a whole lifetime with her in which to do so.

"Are you alright mate?" He was shocked from his drunken thoughts by the voice of Lee, who had a considerably bigger alcohol tolerance, and didn't seem remotely drunk despite the large quantity of alcohol he had consumed.

"Yeah, just thinking," He smiled, and Lee handed him yet another bottle of alcohol.

"About?" Lee enquired.

"Just about Jen," Even after all of this time, the name still brought a smile to his face, as it had done the first night he had learnt it. "Can't believe how lucky I am,"

"I think you're both lucky, to be honest," Lee stated. "I've never seen a couple better suited, I've never seen either of you unhappy,"

"It's just, it is shit, Fred not being here," George stated the obvious, and Lee nodded in agreement. "But it's not the end of my world anymore, there's so much more I've still got to live for. Not just her, but the babies,"

George couldn't suppress the warmth in his heart as he imagined what his children might look like. Whether they'd be boys or girls. Would they get his red hair? Would they get Jenny's beautiful eyes? There was no denying that the next year was the biggest of his life, and he couldn't wait for all of it.

"I still cannot believe there's going to be a Fred and George Junior, has anyone told McGongall yet?" Lee laughed. "Reckon she might retire before they turn eleven,"

"I wouldn't blame her, I think I've got grey hairs just imagining how stressful it's going to be," George joked, but everyone could tell how excited he was for what was to come.

"Reckon we need to get you home soon, big day tomorrow," Lee finished off the dregs of his bottle, and George nodded.

"Don't want to face Jenny's wrath if I'm late, especially given she'll be sober and she's probably been asleep since eight o'clock," George laughed.

"I'm proud of you, mate," Lee placed an arm around George's shoulder, remembering the first time he had met the Weasley twins on the Hogwarts Express, and he had felt completely at ease with both of them, their sense of humour entirely matched his own. The memories they had collected over the years were countless, and he was excited to make more. "I know for a fact Fred is too,"

"We couldn't have been Fred and George without you,"
