There were several key people missing on the day George Weasley married Genevieve Crawford.

There were five people in particular whose absences were notable to the bride and groom.

Firstly, Jenny had grown up dreaming of her wedding day, as most little girls did. When she was at Hogwarts, she would stay up all hours of the night dreaming about where she would say her vows, what season it would be, what style of wedding dress she would have. She never contemplated that her two bridesmaids wouldn't be there by her side. At least, not in human form, anyway.

Lottie and Kelly had been two of the most important people in the world to Jenny for seven years. She had their bridesmaids dresses picked out from being eleven years old, they were to wear knee length, yellow dresses. Yellow because she was going to pick a wedding date in the spring, and yellow was perfect for spring.

She would never have believed, if someone had told her back then, that she was getting married on Christmas Eve, her bridesmaids in red, and neither Lottie or Kelly were there with her.

She was eternally grateful for her newfound friendships, in Ginny, Hermione, Audrey and Fleur. But they were never going to replace the women she had considered her sisters, and she was grateful that they understood that.

She also missed her mother and father. She had already discussed with George her plans regarding walking down the aisle. She had no intention of replacing her father. If he wasn't there to walk her down the aisle, she would simply walk herself. And he completely understood.

However, she knew the most challenging part of the day was going to be when she had to put on the dress that currently hung on the wardrobe behind her, and knowing her mother was supposed to be there to help her into it.

"Knock knock, we're back!" The excitement evident within Hermione's tone was enough to snap her out of her sadness, and she realised what her arrival meant. It was nearly time.

"Who do you want to help you get into the dress?" Ginny asked, a glimmer of hope in her eye, accidentally revealing that she wanted her new sister to choose her.

"I'd love it if you could all help me," She smiled at each of her bridesmaids in turn, who all grinned back. "After all, I need to try and fit into it with this bloody belly poking out, I'm sure the little ones have grown since I got out of bed,"

They all laughed at that, and with her sisters around her, Jenny found the nerves and the sadness leaving her body. She felt she could conquer the world with them by her side, and the notion brought tears to her eyes.

"No no no! Don't cry!" Audrey panicked, rushing forwards and fanning Jenny's face, hoping this would dry the tears and save her freshly completed makeup.

"I'm fine! Just happy," Jenny took a big breath in, before declaring, "Let's get this show on the road, then,"
