Normally when you walk to school you find flowers, trees, and insects. Not someone getting bullied on the street. The longer you stay here in this world, the more it sinks in that you really did walk into someone's anime fanfiction.

"Just watch it, freshman!" A pink-haired girl yells towards Aphmau.

Aphmau...of course.

Mari sighs and crosses her arms. "You know as a teacher's apprentice, I can technically go and break it up right now." She glances towards you. "Should I? Or should we just stay outta it, and keep everything on script."

You ponder for a moment. The whole point of you being here is to change the ending of the series, staying on script is the opposite of what you should do. Though, if you change too much, then you won't be able to know what will happen next. Still.... "We haven't been staying on script when she met us, nor for other events. Why start now?" You state, and place a hand on your hip.

Mari's lips twitch up as she nods. "Got it."

She steps over to the group and places her arm in front of Aphmau, a frown prominent on her face. The pink-haired girl, who you now recognize as Ivy, mouth curls down into a sneer.

"What's this? A whore trying to help another?" She giggles, along with her backdrop of minions. Mari glares.

"I'm not...Neither of us are. Just leave her alone and maybe I won't report you to the administration." Ivy's aquamarine eyes widen, as she takes a step back.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me."

You hold back your snort as Ivy looks down at the shorter girl in astonishment. Mari grabs a hold of Aphmau's wrist and pulls her as she walks away. Ivy's eyes wander over to you, a deep root anger held in them. As you squeeze past her, you hear her mutter under her breath.

"I'm watching you three."

That's way more intense than you remember. Despite that, you don't feel worried. Ivy is a major antagonist in the show, but she's not dangerous. She's not an Ein, or even a Balto for that matter.

You shrug off the threat and continue to follow the two girls on their way to school.

You all make it to school. Mari steps away from Aphmau briefly and whispers over to you.

"I don't remember them cursing this much before."

She makes a valid point. You try to think back to any time they did curse. Your memory of the specific words they used was a bit foggy, yes, but you'd think you'd recall if they cursed or not.

"I mean, not everything is directly the same?" You respond, not very confident in your answer. What else has changed without you noticing? How much will it actually stay the same? Irene wasn't very specific in her letter, you both just kind of assumed since that's how Isekai's worked but....Your thoughts are cut off by Travis calling out to you all, waving his hands.

"Morning guys!" He pushes his messy dirty white hair to the side, the rest falls almost to his shoulders into a mullet of sorts. His curled-up smile makes his right dimple more noticeable, but that could also just be his awkward smile. His eyes are an unnaturally bright green with dark red circles around his iris. What is up with the circle? Underneath his right eye are two moles, right under another, though you can notice some more along his neck and arms.
