"You need to help me!!!" Aphmau panics on the other side of the phone, despite not being able to see her you can tell that she is pacing. Your eyebrow raises, perplexed at the girl's plea.
"With...?"
"Ah! Well, Um well the Ro'meave's mom and my mom apparently have known each other for a really, really! long time. And it turns out their family and my family knew each other when we were really really little, and we didn't remember each other, and now I'm over at their house and our moms are gonna force us to get married! I think??"
Oh, this episode..
"I doubt they're going to force you to get married Aphmau," You reply as you sit up in bed, the sheets bunching up with your movement. "But even then, what could I do about it?"
"Well, Mrs. Ro'meave told me that I could invite a plus one so...."
Your lips curl up into a smirk, "Aw~ you decided to invite me instead of Travis~?"
"Travis apparently has a Biology project that he needs to do..." Aphmau mutters, "B-BUT! I think that you would be better to come! I...I feel like you could help me more than Travis could...don't tell him I said that."
You let out a chuckle at the girl's awkwardness. You weren't doing anything, and besides this would be a great time to see the plot up close. Besides, do you think you have the heart to tell the poor freshman no?
"Alright Aph. Send me the address and I'll head over there."
"Thank you so much!" Her tone practically beams through the call.
You fully push yourself out of the comfort of your bed and turn towards your closet. Irene was nice enough to leave you and Mari with clothing similar to what you wore back...before.
The closet is filled with your favorite accessories and styles, alongside other practical wear. For example, formal wear. Aphmau didn't exactly tell you what to wear, but you remember everyone dressing up generally formal-ish, so you'll do the same.
As you ponder between wearing a suit or a dress, Mari barges into the room with her journal in her hand. She's taken on the role of documenting all the events that happen in the original story and the...our reality to make sure we don't go off track. She always was the bigger fan out of the two of you, though it was a pretty close competition.
"Hey, do you mind going over this? I want to make sure I got everything that happened to you correct..." She glances between you and the journal before slowing her pace. "What's uh....what's with the suit?"
