Training TOOL

It had been a week since episode one of the escape plan. Cordelia had yet to think of any other or even had the time to do such.

The entire week had been full of training. She woke every morning at 6:00  to do a lapse of the entire forest surrounding the manor.
She was compelled to run under 15 minutes, the length a human would run for an hour.

There were always the occasional scratches and snares from the other wolves that ran with her every time she would slow down.
They were a powerhouse and she was; exactly what he said she was...
A weakling

Cordelia hadn't seen much of Gabriel since their last disappointing encounter in the attic that night.
Weird that the entire week she could count the amount of times she saw him. Not that she necessarily sought him, or tallied his movement, but her mind just wouldn't let go of the sight of him.

They met eyes two days after the incident in the attic. She was coming out of her room and he was entering his. It was a short, silent, and uncomfortable encounter.
The other three times were just a shadow of him passing the living room early mornings or a glimpse of his back in the yard when she was training.

Every time she saw him she pictured his eyes from that night. It was intimidating and huge in the dark attic :

——  Gabriel watched Cordelia's face keenly when he neared her.

Her expression showed that she wanted an answer to her questions and she feared an answer to her question.

He progressed with his steps until he backed her into the wall... The distance between their bodies, the length of a thumb.

" My Slaves are mine and mine alone. You are my slave, Cordeulia, therefore you die by my hands, and my hands alone" Gabriel replied in a low and hoarse tune, disappearing to his room before she could digest his words.
'Slave, I hate that word'

"HEY! Miss Filth! snap out of your nightmare and hit !"
Daniel her Tainer screamed at her.
She was in the yard taking defense lessons.
Daniel had grown on her; or in a more literal sense, the marks of his claws had grown on her.

Right now he was screaming at her as she got lost in her memory, mid-fight. Cordelia lifted her eyes to Daniel who stood balanced on his leg upfront and claws out; ready to attack her.

He was looking at her like he had waited for this moment to greatly hurt her and she was mentally preparing herself for whatever was coming. Throughout her time here, she had seen how everybody looked at Daniel with fear.
There was no way she would be able to defend herself without training against this ruthless warrior.

At that moment again, Cordelia pondered on why she was being trained the way she was being trained, brutally!

In her situation, it would be better to be the slave who works and cleans from sun up to sundown, instead of being the one they train from sun up to sundown.

The latter is straight from the pits of hell

She flung her claws at his evil smiling face, catching him off guard and slicing him across the face!

Daniel stood frozen, as the blood trickled down his shoulders. his blood boiled as he sprung onto Cordelia's small body.

He felt humiliated and tricked and made a public spectacle of laughter in front of his subordinates.
Daniel channeled all that into his anger as he continuously hit her across the face and tore her body while screaming curse words at her.

Perhaps Cordelia didn't catch the memo but Daniel was the trainer you weren't supposed to hit but somehow still follow his commands while he trained you, more over spilling his blood. That meant your death.

People stood around and watched the brutality go on, none attempting to lift a hand, or even protest.

The force became painless after a few seconds but she could still see her life She helplessly felt her skin tear from every angle, her vision blurry.

The last thing her eyes could make out was Daniel's dripping hands coming out of her stomach and someone screaming her name.

He is here to save me, again.
She smiled to herself as she lost consciousness.

Cordelia woke up on her small attic bed.

The cuts on her arms and face were slowly healing, but her stomach was covered in bandages as it screamed in pain.

She closed her eyes again and tried to imagine how deep the cut was by remembering how her blood dripped from Daniel's hand.

Her heart tore at the memory and her eyes watered.

She couldn't understand what her life had become. Nothing made sense. She was just like a piece of tool being moved around to the beat of Gabirel's coldhearted commands.
And  Daniel's vicious desires

" How dumb are you guys!? Daniel is a beast of death."

Gabrie voice. He's angry. Is it because of what happened to me?

Gabriel stood amid Lucas and half of the people who had been in the yard during the accident.  He was screaming at them for their recklessness.

"Why would you ask Daniel to train her?! He can't even control his anger.
Have you forgotten we want her alive for this to work!"

For what to work?

He stomped one of the boys against the wall.
" tell me how this is supposed to work with pieces of her flesh under Daniel's skin.
HOW?! You damn fools. "

He let go of the guy and raked his hand through his hair in frustration
.
A lot of things had been frustrating him since this royal legion came into his life. The very thought of her constantly frustrated him. The way his body reacts around her constantly frustrates him.

The kiss; constantly frustrates him.

As everybody dispersed from the attic, he found his hand turning the knob of her door once more.
Cordelia had heard the wreaking of her door and closed her eyes.

He sat near her figure on the bed and lightly paraded his hand across the bandage around her abdomen.

She was facing him and her long brown hair stuck to the sides of her cheeks. Her eyes twitched when her sweat tickled her face but it went unnoticed.

A second later, she felt Gabriel's thumb lightly swipe across her cheeks.

He watched what he thought was her sleeping face, with keenness. The freckles on her pale skin almost went unnoticed, but if you watched with such deep eyes as Gabriel did.. They were there.

Your freckles shine like tiny specs of gold on a white platter. You should have skin colored as though you're always flushed. Weird for a werewolf

His thoughts revolved around the unconscious female on the tiny bed as of now. So much that he never heard himself say;

"I don't think I have ever seen eyes with such glittering green as yours. I see every shade of the color when I look at you "

His voice was so subtle and low but Cordelia heard his words. But it seemed like he didn't pay much due to his intrusive thoughts spoken.

She slowly opened her eyes as he retreated from the room. Again...She couldn't quite wrap her head around his words. She couldn't understand the type of man he was but she knew this much:

He was never going to pardon her.
She sighed and closed her eyes as she remembered the words they were taught in school as kids. It was like an anthem for them. something they had to recite every morning.
"Night winds are not and will never be our friends!"
