After a few drinks, Lia declared that we were all going to dance.

"C'mon, guys, we're going to dance," she giggled, clearly already quite intoxicated, which might explain what she said next.

"Jer," she said, looking at him with sweet eyes, "will you dance with me, my prince?" She seemed serious except for her swaying body as she crashed into Jer. He appeared irritated and stood up with her.

"C'mon, we are going to go home," Jer said, pulling her arm as they both left, Lia swaying and giggling.

I sighed and took a sip from my drink before realizing Sophie was missing.

"Where's Sophie?" I asked, my voice slurred. I had only had a couple of drinks. Or was it four?

"She's dancing," Nik answered.

"Okay," I said, attempting to stand up to find Sophie, but the floor was slippery, and I fell on my ass.

"Damn it, Cami," Nik cursed, helping me to my feet. I glared at the floor before looking back at Nik.

"Why is the floor so slippery?" I asked him. He laughed before guiding my hand around his shoulders and his hands around my waist, starting to lead me.

"Where are we going?" I nudged him with my hip. "I want to go to Sophie. I want to dance. It looks fun," I tried to shrug him off.

"Who would've thought you'd be such a loud drunk?" he mumbled, leaving my waist so I could stand on my own. Suddenly, the room started to spin, and I began to lose my balance. Before I could faceplant again, Nik swooped in, carrying me like a hero.

Before I could hit the ground again, Nik pulled me towards him and carried me in his arms, bridal style.

"Whoa," I giggled, looking around. "I'm flying!" I let my hands fly, laughing.

"Sophie, come on, we're leaving," Nik's voice rumbled against his chest, and I could feel it against my arm.

"What's up with her?" Sophie inquired.

"Just a bit too much to drink," Nik explained as he escorted me towards the exit.

After a ride home, safely followed by our trusty bodyguards, Sophie went straight to bed while Nik escorted me to my room.

"Where is everyone?" I asked, knowing our fathers wouldn't have gone to sleep without knowing we got home safely.

"They're in the back. Jeremy told them we came together."

"And they believed him?" I asked, not quite believing it.

"No, but they had a bigger problem with him. And with Dahlia drunk, it'll be a disaster," he muttered the last part.

"Uh-huh," I rested my head against his shoulder. Who would've thought Nik was this comfortable?

"You're comfy," I said, nuzzling into him. "I like it."

"Thanks, I guess," he chuckled.

We reached my bedroom, and he gently put me down on the bed. "The bed is not as comfy as you," I pouted. Chuckling, he removed my shoes and covered me with a blanket.

I settled on the bed and patted the seat near me. "I'm not sleepy. Let's talk instead."

"Sure," He nodded and sat beside me. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Ahh," I thought for some time "Do you believe in a parallel universe?"

Nik looked puzzled. "Not really my thing. Do you believe in them?"

"I think we all are living at least one parallel life," I explained, gesturing with my index fingers as this life and another one as a parallel life. "The life there would be the dream of the life we living. I think the parallel me would do everything and have everything that I don't have. But at the same time, she would be dreaming about something and I think I have those that she can't have." I giggled, explaining to him.

"What do you dream of?" His voice is soft, like a lullaby.

"Love. Someone who loves me for me," I admitted. Some warning bells are going in my head to stop talking but since I started speaking, I can't stop. "I want someone to be proud of me. I want someone to befriend me and ask me on a date because they like me, not my last name or my royalty status."

"We all like you the way you are, Cami. Your parents love you. They are proud of you. We are proud of you."

I nod because it's the easy way out. Because he couldn't understand. They can't understand what I am saying. They never did.

"Have you ever kissed anyone?" I asked.

"Yes." He looked bemused about the sudden topic change.

"Did you like it?"

"Sometimes."

"Kiss me," I whispered, feeling bold. I looked at his lips. Would his lips be soft? His lips look soft.

"What?"

"Please," I mumbled. "I always wanted to have my first kiss before 18."

"You're drunk. Go to sleep, Princess." He makes a move to stand up.

"No," I grip his collar and slam my lips against his. What am I doing? His lips are as soft as I thought. I move my lips slowly as I have read in the books. Did he like my kiss? Am I doing it wrong? My mind kept flooding with these thoughts. He's not even moving his lips. Does he not like it? Does he hate it? What the fuck am I doing?

I move back and look at him with wide eyes. "Oh my god. Sorry. I am r-really sorry. I shouldn't hav-"

He grabs my throat and slams his lips against me. His lips move against me with such force and fervor that I can't move away. I gasp and open my lips when his tongue moves against my lower lip, asking me for permission. I whimper softly and move closer to him. The warmth of his lips was intoxicating. He grunts and moves his lips faster, licking my bottom lip, and and causing me to giggle.

His tongue moved against mine, stroking and teasing, and I moaned as I moved closer to him. Suddenly he wrenched his lips away from mine, his breathing harsh and uneven. My breathing matched his as I looked at him with wide eyes.  Was that okay? Is that good? I don't know what I should say. He didn't seem angry. So I stayed quiet.

He clears his throat before saying "Goodnight." he leaves my room, closing the door behind him. I stare blankly at the door before sighing and lying down on my bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about how much I liked kissing Nik. Did he like it as much? I stare at the ceiling as my mind fills with these thoughts.

But the most prominent one is "My first kiss is something my parallel self will dream of."
