“NIKO!!!” A voice hollered from the hallway as I tried to sneak back into my room. “Niko, Come here. NOW.” Sofia’s anger can be heard in her voice. I descended the stairs and came to stand in front of a very pissed and livid-looking Sofia.

“What did you not understand about not being involved in my dating life?” Sofia glared her green eyes wide open as she looked up at me. I tried to stay away but when the shitbag she is dating tried to cheat on her, I had to do something. I just advised him to stay away from my sister or next the time I visit him wouldn’t be so nice.

“Sophie, he isn’t good for you,” I told her silently. The one thing you don’t want to do is yell at Sofia when she is mad. The consequence will be grim, to put it lightly.

“I know, Niko. He tried to cheat on me.” She looked a lot less sad to someone who discovered her 6-month boyfriend had tried to cheat on her.
“Are you okay?” I asked her as I looked at her for any sign of distress. Nope. Nada.

“I’m not upset that he tried to cheat on me, Niko. I’m upset that you thought I couldn’t handle myself in a situation like that.” She looked at me with sadness in her eyes.

“Who said anything about you not being able to handle the situation?” I cracked a smile. “I just thought that we could avoid all the police. Remember the last time someone tried to mess with you and you broke his arm?” She laughed and swatted my arm.

“Well, he deserved that.”

“He did,” I assured her as I hugged her and dropped a kiss on the crown of her head.

“You going to be good, kiddo?” She punched me lightly in the gut.

“We are of the same age. I am not a kid.” She glared at me even though there was amusement in her eyes.

“Where’s mom? I want her help in choosing a dress.” Sofia looked around. “I should have been packed by now.” She fretted.

“Where are you going?” I asked, confused.

“Tell me you’re joking.” She looked at me wide-eyed. I stared at her. Am I supposed to remember something from her wide eyes? “It’s Cami’s 18th birthday.”

I looked at her blankly, processing it. It is Cami’s 18th birthday, which means we are supposed to go to Eldora. Tomorrow. It’s not a problem for a billionaire to plan a trip to Eldorra in 24 hours. But it is a problem when it’s Cami’s birthday. She’s not interested in anything or anyone and that includes gifts. It is an impossible task to impress Cami with anything. An expensive necklace. She will smile and say thank you. A car. She will smile and say thank you. A fucking palace. She will do the same. We all even have a bet going on about who will surprise Cami. Needless to say, I’ll be not included in that.

“Mom’s gone to help Jules with something,” I said as I padded back to my room.

It’s going to be a hell of a day.
