Chapter 2

Eleanor's POV

I woke up in a start because I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes slowly and saw a blurry image of my mother.

"Rveille- toi!" she told me, which means 'wake- up.'

"Pourqio?" Why. I looked at my bedside clock and it read 12:18 am. I sighed internally.

"Uncle Mad-Eye is here," she told me in her French accent. That's why I studied in Beauxbatons academy. I lived in France my whole life because my mother is French. My father is British, so that brought us to Privet Drive. He found a better job here in London.

"Uncle Mad- Eye?" I asked, sitting up. "Why is he here now?"

"It's time," she told me.

I raised my eyebrows. "It's time already? The train doesn't leave in a week."

She shook her head. "The Ministry of Magic heard about Dementor attack here. Mad-Eye wanted to pick up Harry because of Harry's situation but then he decided it was better if you came along too," she explained.

I got out of my bed. "Thats good. I mean- bad, but it's good that I already packed my things," I said and headed towards my closet.

"Excited for Hogwarts?" she asked with a smile.

I chuckled. "Of course, manan." Mom.

She smiled. "You should shower. They'll be here in a few minutes," she told me and stood up.

"They?" I asked, grabbing some clothes from my closet.

"Yes, uncle Mad-Eye isn't the only one coming," she told me, heading for the door.

"Then who else?" I asked.

She pursed her lips together. "You'll see," she said and then closed the door.

I shrugged and then I took a quick shower. I got dressed in a blue knit sweater, black pants and black boots. I let my hair fall of my shoulders, since I had no time to style it.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. I headed down the stairs and placed my last suitcase along with the others.

I opened the door and my eyes widen. In the front stood my uncle Mad- Eye and behind him were indistinguishable faces.

"Hey there, El!" he exclaimed. I smiled and gave him a hug.

"It's good to see you again, Uncle Mad-Eye," I told him, still wrapped in his arms.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked, pulling away.

I nodded. "Yes," I said in my most sure voice.

He looked at my mother. "We have to go now, Elaine," he said.

She nodded, a somewhat sad and somber expression on her face. "I know. It's for the best," she said knowingly.

I have my mother one last hug. "I'll see you during the holidays, mum," I told her.

She sighed. "Be safe," she said before pulling away. "And be good, okay?"

I chuckled. "Yes, maman," I told her reassuringly, then we walked out the door.

"Are you okay, Eleanor?" Uncle Mad-Eye asked me.

I nodded. "I am, Uncle. Don't worry. I'm just t a little... fazed, though."
